This isn't really a newsworthy story but what I did find interesting is that they used a photo of the park from pre-1974. Our site must have provided it for one of the Asbury Park Press' previous articles.

JACKSON – Three people suffered injuries when two cars collided Friday night in the main parking lot of Six Flags Great Adventure.

The crash occurred at 7:24 p.m. when a 2001 Nissan Altima driven by Nicholas Taylor, of Holland, Pennsylvania, pulled out from between two rows of parking spaces in front of a 2008 GMC Sierra pickup truck, which was traveling on a main road inside the theme park.

The pickup struck the driver’s side door of the Nissan, which was attempting to cross the road.

The three passengers in the Nissan suffered injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening. Two suffered head injuries while a third was injured in the upper leg and hip area.

Jackson First Aid transported them to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Township.

No one was injured in the pickup truck, which was driven by Bryan Ecochardt of Jackson.

Taylor was issued a summons for careless driving.

Jackson Police officers Andrea Falzarano and Michael Kelly investigated.
