I actually lived a couple blocks away from it for 6 months while my house was getting raised. It is almost confirmed (the park hasn't came out and said it yet) that they will be getting an infinity coaster similar to The Monster at Adventureland. If this turns out the way I want it to, it could be the best new coaster coming to America in 2017, but that's not saying much. At my recent driveby, only the pirates hideaway coaster and the tall thrill rides remained. All other rides have been taken off the Pier. I stopped going to Seaside a few years ago because I did not like the clientele. Sometimes we would go offseason because it was much less crowded with fewer yahoos.
