IBOK
What have you guys said or done to successfully encourage somebody to try a new ride? It seems to be a struggle for me to get some of my family and friends to try more thrilling rides.
Yoshi
I would say start small and work their way up to the larger rides. If they can handle TDK, Skull Mountain, RMT then I would try something like Nitro since there are no inversions and not too forceful compared to a coaster like Batman with the inversions and intensity or Superman or Green Lantern where riding in a different type of train might make it more intimidating. Unfortunately the park doesn't have a good in between coaster like a GCI or sit down looper with only 1 or 2 inversions that might be something to work up to the bigger coasters. It also helps if they can try the ride when there is no line, no time spent watching the ride from the queue and just walk right on without thinking about it. Mr.Six
My tip is to try and spot if "younger" riders are going on the ride. If younger riders are going onto The Joker you always have a point to make!
SatansHockey
I did the opposite. My gf was a bit afraid at first but her first roller coaster with me I made her sit front row on Skyrush lol after that she hasn't had many problems going on anything else lol Edited November 19, 2016 by SatansHockey
