STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — As if lovers of New Jersey's Six Flags Great Adventure needed more reason to visit during their popular and ghoulish Frightfest season, we just got another one: A YouTube sensation from Staten Island will be a headliner for the scary good show from Sept. 16-Oct. 31. Keep scrolling for details.

Native Islander Corvyx (aka recording artist Anthony Corvyx) will be a featured performer at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J., for the duration of the Frightfest season. Performing four sets a night starting at 7 p.m., he will sing a selection of well-known covers in addition to his original material. Sample the sound in the video clip above.

Anthony Corvyx is a 2009 alumnus of Susan Wagner High School and earned his degree in 2013 from Wagner College's prestigious theatre program.

Known by his stage name Corvyx, Anthony has garnered 20,000-plus YouTube subscribers over the last three years. He's hyped as such: "Rendering provocative and haunting covers of your favorite past/current artists on Youtube, his social influence has gripped the imaginations of various demographics all over the world." And here is one of Corvyx's most popular YouTube videos-- a cover of Evanescence's My Immortal.

Check out his cover of Sia's Alive above.

Take a gander at Corvyx's cover of Katy Perry's Rise.

Felicia Ruff, Chair of the Department of Theatre and Speech at Wagner College, informs us Frightfest also features "choreography by WCT alum and adjunct faculty member Ashley DeLane Burger, who is a back up dancer, along with Waggies Sammy DeSimone and Ariane Ryan! This is gonna be awesome!"

Gotta admit-- Staten Island's own Corvyx is very talented!

Are you a fan of Kesha's Praying? Well, then check out Corvyx's cover and support one of our borough's own at Frightfest this Halloween season, starting this Weekend. Check out the dates and times in the next slide.
