Behind the Fright: How Six Flags Great Adventure Transforms Humans

into Halloween-Inspired Monsters

JACKSON, N.J. — October 25, 2017  This week, adults and children alike find themselves preparing for the tricks and treats of Halloween. The daunting task of concocting a costumed character is at the core of one of America’s favorite holidays. During Fright Fest at Six Flags Great Adventure, the professional makeup and special effects team conquers the daily challenge of transforming 225 everyday humans into moaning, snarling, Halloween-inspired beasts in just a few short hours. So, how do they do it?

From animal-human hybrids and flesh-hungry zombies to maniacal clowns, toxic mutants, dancing demons and more, Six Flags offers a rare look behind the scenes to share some of the key tricks of the trade in a new video.

Fright Fest runs for one final weekend in New Jersey:

·         Friday, Oct. 27: 5:30 pm to midnight

·         Saturday, Oct. 28: 11 am to midnight

·         Sunday, Oct. 29: 11 am to 10 pm

·         Monday, Oct. 30: 5:00 pm to 11 pm

·         Tuesday, Oct. 31: 5:00 pm to 11 pm

Fright Fest, the Northeast’s largest Halloween party, features world-class thrill rides, five scare zones, seven haunted mazes, 11 themed shows plus trick-or-treating for kids 12 and under on select days. For more information, call 732-928-2000 or visit www.sixflags.com/greatadventure
