The Master
I was at the park today and it was a total mess! They had all these school groups there ( I should have read the events page on their website so I would have known ahead of time ) . They let all the bus loads in early and I just did not have a chance to get on Dark Knight at all since 1000s of screaming kids and teenagers out ran me. Plus with the ropes at opening today when they let the ropes down the guards did not let anyone go for 10 more min so all the people in the back started to push hard againest the people at the front, squashing them since they saw the ropes were down. I had to push people away from me because they were squashing me really hard. So I just rode the Skyride, Skull Mt, and a other few small rides and went home by 1:00, I was really disgusted at the park and how they handle opening today, hopefully they will take care of openings better in the future. Up_Up_and_Away
Click for my video coverage of this morning! Well done! I was at the park today and it was a total mess! Funny, everything went smoothly over in Movietown, from opening til closing...
The Master
I just hope morning openings at the park will be handled better than today. Were you one of the groups they let in early? The park let a bunch of people with "tickets" passed the ropes 1/2 hour earlier than the regular GP and bus groups. I guess most of the guards must have been stationed in movietown (which I did not make it there) since there were none in mainstreet or around the fountain area this morning. At least it sounds like things went well for other people here, hopefully I will get to ride DK on another, better day. Winfield
Wow I went in with the GP and thought security did a great job at keeping things very much in order. I had no trouble getting to the line for DK where they opened a very small area for those along the chain waiting around 11:15.

I was at the park at 9:50, all the bus groups were alreadly inside the park and forming themselves into dense walls along the ropes. Within 5 min after rope fall all the coasters except Skull, MT had a hour wait from all those bus groups. The main bulk of them stampede to DK but there was enough of them to make all the major coaster lines long. The picture of Dark Knight look cool. warnerleroy
Sort of Off topic, but Heath Ledger just won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, 2008 for his performance in The Dark Knight as the Joker. IF only we could have somebody like him for a sequel and future performances. He will be missed
