The riddle says “We will spread some cheer about a new addition here” and DIRE unscrambled could mean ride. Jersey Devil is a new addition coming to the park, so maybe the announcement could be that Jersey Devil Coaster is continuing vertical construction again! 2nd: Holiday in the Park will have a new ride open for the event!
