  1. This was my all-time favorite flat ride. I’d be sorry to see it go.
  2. I asked about saving the sign when I arrived that morning but unfortunately it was too late.
  3. I can't believe it has been ten years since I witnessed the demolition of the Conestoga Wagon on what was the coldest morning of the year. Frigid temps (it was 7 degrees - not including the windchill) shutdown my iphone but I was happy my camera did not give out. It was sad to see the Conestoga Wagon go, but if it meant saving the Safari, that was OK with me.
  4. Click here to see the whole Spotlight! Samples below. Comments and discussions are welcomed!
  5. Videos of the rides, attractions and events featured in the GreatAdventureHistory.com Spotlights.
  6. I’d be curious to know how much Flash Pass sales declined last season due to the smaller crowds at GA. I would imagine that hit their per cap spending numbers big-time.
  7. Photos of the Super Sidewinder are a rare find. Here are two pictures of the Super Sidewinder when it was located in its original location along Lahaway Creek across from the Fort in the summer of 1977. Super Sidewinder seen across from the Great Race kiddie bumpers.
  8. Taken in the summer of 1977, here are two views of the Screamer's train on the back half of the ride.
  9. ^ I have to update it. I am now 44 consecutive years with a GA pass/membership (since 1980) plus day tickets between ‘74 and ‘79.
  10. A park has a problem with its business model if simply repainting a ride means you can consider it a new attraction. Repainting is a part of maintenance and upkeep which often leads to the question why they didn’t do it sooner.
