  1. According to the park… As you know, the safety of our guests and team members is our top priority. Due to our advanced preparedness, including securing our buildings and loose items, the park sustained minimal damage. All of our animals were safely secured prior to the storm, and all are doing well. The park will be open, as planned, daily April 5 – 16 for our annual Spring Break.
  2. An article discusses that the inflatable building at Adventure Crossing should have been deflated before the storm but was not. It says the storm damaged and brought it down. The article is HERE.
  3. It’s nice to see that the Ocean County officials refer to the park as Great Adventure and not Six Flags!
  4. At least our stuff will open in several weeks. Six Flags America has whole sections removed from its map this year.
  5. Is this the premium experience we have been hearing about?
  6. Over the past 25+ years I haven’t seen leaking being a major issue with the BOTW. They have even been trimming and capping the huge logs to stop the spread of rot. The huge logs were brought in long before treating lumber was an option. Time is taking its toll and the logs unfortunately could be rotting out from the inside just like on Super Tepee. Hopefully it’s just a business decision to keep the restaurant closed until attendance levels increase. They really haven’t had the need for such a large facility recently.
  7. Why are things so confusing? Readers of this site probably know better but for the common guest many things can often be confusing. Take for instance the hours of operation at the park. It was advertised that they were going to open on April 1 which I believe is still the plan unless it rains terribly. But look at what both the app and their webpage said for today (Friday). Safari open? Theme park opened at 8am?
  8. It's funny that you mention the free gifts for the 15th anniversary. The other day I ran across my winning ticket from 1986. It was for admission to River Country or Discovery Island!
  9. I hate how Disney totally blew WDW’s 50th anniversary. It was done on the cheap and felt that way throughout the resort. Their 25th celebration back 1996 was SO much better. The entire resort felt like a huge party back then and really had guests wrapped up in the excitement. Whoever thought that iridescent coloring would be enough to mark the 50th was mistaken.

  12. It will still be there but like the last few seasons openly on special days.

  14. As seen on the SFGA website, here is the 2023 Theme Park Map!
  15. "Great Adventure Garden" will debut this year. It is expected to be located on the former site of the Botanical Gardens. It is described as an "arboretum" which is defined as a botanical garden devoted to trees.
  16. I think this tops Tron’s construction window. It was removed in 2019 and will open this summer. A kid’s ride!
  17. Wow, I couldn't disagree more. I too didn't care for the repaint but when it first opened and was all white I thought it was beautiful. It looked classic, graceful, and simplistic all at the same time.
  18. If it’s anything like this past winter it would only be for a couple days. They could of had the water ski show this winter!
  19. Holiday in the Park is a magical experience with millions of glittering lights, dazzling holiday entertainment, delicious seasonal treats and more. At night, visitors can witness the spectacular holiday fireworks show that takes place over the lake. This would be new!
