The ride does not attract enough riders to rebuild the extended queue.

The light up letters were removed when the sign was placed by the Safari entrance. The letters were saved and are in the hands of someone with long ties to the park. I wish I had them.

Although there will be limited availability of attractions, Hurricane Harbor will be open until October this year!

Spotted the first TV commercial for GA last night. Here it is:

I would think this refers to memorial bricks in the entrance…

This building holds the record at the park for being moved to different locations!

I recently ran across this rather rare view of Great Adventure's Skyride when it was transitioning from the NYWF cars to the newer Six Flags Great America fleet! It looks like they ran both sets simultaneously on separate lines. Photo from the summer of 1988.

From the call regarding increase in upcoming capex: "The lift in '24 was somewhat related to... we have a 50th anniversary coming up at our park in New Jersey and we had an opportunity to add a nice ride kind of late in the game and that's a little bit rare because it takes generally a while to design and build a coaster so we had a fortunate opportunity and we decided to take it. So that's the lift versus what we had expected to spend in the short run."

It was mentioned that Six Flags increase in 2024 capex is due in part to increased spending for Great Adventure’s 50th including a new roller coaster.

I remember one of the top prizes was a large screen flat panel television which were pretty expensive in 2008.

Looks like Kingda Ka will remain the tallest coaster.
