  3. One interesting note, the "On the Boardwalk" dark ride which featured an omnimover set of bright yellow rolling chairs was relocated to Wildwood following Tivoli's closure. The cars were enclosed, dirtied, and reopened as "Zombie World - Laser Shooting Haunted House Ride."
  4. I remember going here in the late '80s. Here are some pamphlets and a mug from the "park".

  6. No, the tower is still standing. They removed the lift cables and detached most of the chutes.
  7. Sadly, the demolition of the Parachutes has begun.
  8. ^It doesn't appear to be in the boneyard on Goggle Earth so it was most likely sold or destroyed.
  9. If I had to guess, I don't think they intended it to stay in the Old Country for so long. In addition, the park had their hands full during 1999 installing the 25+ rides with the War on Lines and the water gun game was probably a low priority.

  14. Yes, there was a similar stand (Main Street Merchant) that was added a couple of years after Liberty Square Novelties was moved. We haven't done the spotlight for this stand yet, but it has an extensive laundry list of uses around the park.
  15. I always say that sometimes the background details of a photo can provide some great historical information. I always thought that the first location for this stand was near the Flying Wave but if you look closely to the left side of the stand in the photo below you can see the windows on the Haunted Castle’s facade putting the stand in the entrance area.
  16. The 2023 Fright Fest Guide has been added to our Halloween Event Brochures page.

  18. Yes, those were essentially water tanks used at fairs like the Holland Tulip Festival. They weigh more when filled with soil than water so it makes sense to landscape them.
  19. It should be interesting to see if the wheel gets repainted yellow or they pick another color. I like the original scheme with the red accent.
