I'm not completely dismissing the possibility of a new coaster in 2016, but in 2015, for sure. Although, I still find 2016 unlikely to see one as the park president has openly stated he hates adding roller coasters.

Well, from what I keep hearing after poking around with some old sources, the "Ring of Fire" will be the main addition, going into the Golden Kingdom. I commend the effort of adding flats in areas that need them, especially areas that have removed flat rides. HOWEVER, this is NOT the way to do it. Deja Vu, The Autobahn Re-born, the elephants, and Sky Screamer were tastefully done. Most of them, they are classic rides one expects to find in any theme park. This ride would have to be very well themed and marketed properly for me to not make fun of Great Adventure for the rest of my life.

They can advertise it however they'd like, but the bottom line is, it's a carnival ride. On top of this, a very popular one the general public will immediately recognize. You can get away with adding this at a park like Morey's Piers or even Knoebels... but not in a "world class theme park." One would think they'd have learned from the Dark Knight not to add mis-represented and advertised carnival / boardwalk rides,but apparently, not so much!

Could just be routine maintenance, it doesn't seem like something major happened but you never know. A lot of times after a new ride has been opened for a little over a month they may just want to do a complete check up on it and comb through everything looking for signs of unusual wear, unusual marks or trends developing in the mechanics, etc. Best to do this ahead of time before any underlying issues developing make themselves known in other ways....

Ok, I think it's obvious at this point what's going on: A dragon themed "Ring of Fire" in the Golden Kingdom A backwards Batman Some type of Fright Fest expansion or new addition to Fright Fest I see no evidence of a "a dive in movie" but you never know.

Well, I rode both Ka and Zumanjaro on Sunday. I was impressed with the throughput of both rides running in this staggered operating pattern, but, it could be better. I waited in a full Ka queue that even went down the back path a little bit, it took about an hour even with some down time. I waited just about the same for Zumanjaro which had a line that started about where the Ka tower is. My friends in my group did not have huge complaints waiting this long for either attraction. The state has always been harsh on anyone being around the trains on Ka as they're moving at high speeds after the 2005 incident, so I don't expect any type of solution soon. I'm confident though none of this probably has to do with tower sway or stress.

There may be an asnwer in here somewhere, but I'm too lazy to read through 40 pages of this; Was Zumanjaro originally planned to operate regardless of what Kingda Ka was doing, or was it known all along that they would need to have an alternating cycle schedule? I remember seeing in some media footage both rides running at the same time. So part of me says the state stepped in and said "Nope, no way can you have trains flying by riders at 128 miles per hour" and did this... or was it always known it'd have to run this way ?

Wow, thanks for the information. Sounds like we have a way to go then. There is hope still left but I'm not convinced it's still going up at all right now.

Anyone starting to get nervous? I'd have thought for sure we'd have seen some type of ground prep / track prep by now. Maybe the park is getting cold feet? Or they simply bought the ride to restore it, than re-sell it ?

I've seen security remove cutters from line twice this year since I've been there. I do not know what their fate was after being removed, but it made me feel a lot more satisfied as a guest to see the policy enforced, especially since both cutters went right past me in the line. Maybe it's more rare than I see?

I was at the park yesterday and it did not appear demolition has started yet, so there's no pictures to be taken as of now. Hopefully they are reconsidering the move at this time! (Wishful thinking)
