  1. It might help to find out who was sponsoring it at the time. I am just guessing, but that might be one of the slides from Adventure Rivers in the background? In that case, the picture could have been taken anywhere between 1991-1998. I'm not sure who, but it might be useful to find who was exactly sponsoring the ride during those times. That might give you an idea what the sign said with the name of the sponsor. Was the sponsor still Kodak?
  2. The first time I went to Great Adventure was in 2006. I remember my mom gave me the giant poster map when we got there, and I remember asking her if we could go on "the Riptide log flume thing over at the seaport." I think she said something along the lines of "it depends on the line" or something like that. The only area I remember was Loony Toons Seaport. When we got over there, I remember seeing Riptide, but it was closed. I don't think we came back later that year. However, I do remember going in 2007. I was all excited to finally get to ride Riptide. When we got there though, I was devastated. I remember thinking "Wiggles? They replaced a log flume for the Wiggles?" Great Adventure removed too many rides before I was tall enough to ride by my self, including Riptide.
  3. The first one I rode was in 2012, which is Rock n' Roller Coaster at Walt Disney World.
  4. My favorite video games are Borderlands 1 and 2, the Just Dance game series as a whole (Xbox 360 only!), and Wizard 101.
  5. I was not a very big fan of Rolling Thunder. However, I am still mad they would remove it for a pathway to a drop ride. I love roller coasters, and I have absolutely no problem riding them. However, rides such as Zumanjaro and Tower of Terror in WDW make me feel sick. Losing a ride that I would only come off of with little pain to a drop ride really stinks. I think Six Flags needs to pay attention to the undeveloped areas like Old Country, and leave areas that are in good condition alone.
  6. I'll post one since one hasn't been posted for quite some time. (I'm the one in the background, the little girl in the front is my cousin.)
  7. I might not be very active until Great Adventure reopens next season and/or the school year ends. Sorry!

  8. I'm also really surprised. I would much rather go to a theme park than go to the movies any day.
  9. My family has premium memberships instead of regular premium season passes. Even though we pay more in the end, It's easier for financial reasons. There are 6 people in my household, so it's easier to pay around $40 a month, rather than all up front.
  10. Hi everybody! My name is Lauren, and I'm 15 years old. My Hobbies are riding roller coasters, drawing, and dancing. I love Great Adventure History, and I have been reading it since last year. My favorite superhero is The Flash. I never go to the park without my Flash T-shirt. (I call it my "Great Adventure Shirt"). I listen to music from all decades, Land of 1000 Dances and Boogie Wonderland to just name a few. My parents brought me to Great Adventure when I was a baby, but the earliest trip I remember was back in 2006. After a trip in 2007, I haven't gone again after that up until last year, when we started going regularly. This is my first year coming to Great Adventure with a premium season pass! Things that annoy me are dumb blonde jokes, (because I'm blonde) and when people wear glasses just for looks. (I actually need them!) Thank you to the creators of this website, I love it! And I can't wait for the future updates to come! (Sorry that this is so long!)
  11. From what I saw on RMT, it seemed like a pretty cool show. I agree that a lot of people who would go to that type of concert may be of that stature, but I actually love dubstep as well. I'm part of the group that is definitely out numbered.
  12. Yeah, I was there Saturday as well, and it was around 9:20 at night when I went on RMT. I looked into the arena, and it was packed. It was so full that I don't even know how people could move around in there. I'm the only 15 year old in my neighborhood who does not use drugs, but I'm around the other teens enough to know what marijuana smells like. The smell was pretty evident in the parking lot now that I think about it.
