  1. I know nobody wants a prototype, but i think with improved designs and past experiences, we could get something nice. A 1st of something is an easier goal to reach than breaking records. People like unique coasters. I doubt people will come for the most inversions, theyre more interested in height and speed. Thats why kingda ka is still popular.

  2. Went there today. I loved it so much that i'm getting a dining plan next year. I got a cheeseburger with everything on it... It was delicious! Nachos, nacho cheese, salsa, and guacamole! I also tried La Cantina, the attached bar. It was also good.

Quick unrelated question. I am starting a new post. How do I add pics to the post? I have a lot to add.

  3. I know on Saturday at Six Flags New England, Hurricane Harbor was mobbed. My wife and I went in around 3pm to relax. I was planning on staying at the park all day. I was there for an ACE event. Walked in and it was like being herded out of a cattle truck. Wall to wall people. I have never seen a water park so crowded. We just turned around and left the water park. We ended up leaving around 7pm because I found out that the evening ERT was going to include season pass holders and were the same rides we had that morning.

I've been meaning to post a trip report during COASTER CON. I learned a lot of cool things about our park that i need to share. Also took lots of good "behind the scenes" pictures.

  4. Large coaster would be awesome but the park doesn't have the infrastructure to support that. The park needs more flat rides, attractions, shows, repaved parking lot, and Better security (although it seems better than it was). Do you build the coaster crowds will come for 1st? Or do you build a park that can handle the crowds better, then build the coaster?

  5. I've been on over 100 coasters and see how similar a lot of them are. Some rides are almost exactly the same. I loved Apollo's Chariot at Busch Gardens VA. While on it, I told my wife, "this is nitro". Same type of trains too! There are small differences but it's basically the same. I feel the more unique rides, the more a park becomes a destination. Being a huge roller coaster enthusiast, I look for "one of a kind" rides and will go to those parks just for that. Like the Jack Rabbit at Kennywood. Small park, not a lot of coasters, but they're all unique.

  6. Haha. I just joined that group. People complaining about it, it must be fun!

Yeah, i miss the old El Toro lift. I thought it used to be faster but wasn't sure. When did they change it and what was it doing to the ride?

  7. OH NO!! Major disappointment for coaster con if Kingda Ka is down. I will be attending Coaster Con and was wondering if i was to park in the main lot, go into park, then go over to Hurricane Harbor, I can take the shuttle, but how would re-entry work? I assume i can use my season pass to get into Hurricane Harbor but i thought season passes could not be used for re-entry. That you need a wrist stamp. Wouldn't the wrist stamp wash off in the water? I have never done this before.

  8. I still haven't gone yet! Still need to buy my season pass also! The last 2 seasons, i've been slacking. I just have plans every weekend and thats really the only time i can go. Hopefully I can buy the season pass during the week and go after work sometime since my job is only like 10 min from the park. I live about an hour away. Last year i only went about 10 times. Normally I go 25+ times!
