  1. I went on saturday morning. Zumanjaro was the first ride we went on. It was my cousin's first time. We were the first group and as it was going up, it stopped after the brakes. we sat ther a few minutes and they lowered us. They ran some tests and then the first car wasn't attaching to the lift. since the other 2 were connecting, they had to raise them, then drop them individually. After that, they tested it and it was fine. We got back on and it got stucka again! same spot! At this point I couldn't hold my bladder anymore so we left the ride. Went on El toro. I figured I could watch Zumanjaro from there. El Toro was down! Went on Bizarro then back to El Toro and noticed Zumanjaro was runnning one car. Went back and was stopped at the entrance. They opened it, by the time i got to the ride, it broke again!! Finally got on it and it worked! WOW! It was unusually busy for a rainy day.
  2. I've been on 106 coasters and Skyrush is the most intense i have ever been on. I always keep my arms up and this was the first coaster that i HAD to hold on. They take your picture at the bottom of the drop when it turns. Because i had my arms up, i was hanging off to the side and you couldnt really see me! hahaha. We could use a ride like that. It's surprisingly compact too!
  3. My wife was terrified on Firehawk! I got the picture from the ride and the look on her face is "i'm gonna die". I went on Superman Ride of Steel at Six flags America and I wasn't impressed at all. New Englands version is so much better. I went on early so there wasn't a wait.
  4. yeah Superman is good at holding a nice amount of people for a long time.
  5. Batwing is scary how your upper body is free to move because all you have is a harness!
  6. I would assume that they want to protect the station from falling debris. What about things falling from Zumanjaro? Maybe have a net for Kingda Ka, and keep the mechanical thingy for Zumanjaro. Does Lex Luther have anything to protect the station?
  7. I can't think of a time that i was in a line and a group of people didn't push through to "meet their friends".. i think that they don't consider this line cutting because their friends are there.
  8. Is it a fear of objects falling from Kingda Ka's trains or the vibration from it?
  9. Bring a friend for free September 6,7,13, or 14. Can the friend do the early entry also?
  10. I wonder if I should get it now or wait for the discount from my job next year. This year i was surprised that the gold pass was that price for me, thinking it was a mistake. I have this problem every year around this time. lol. They always say lowest price ever and it never is it seems.
  11. Is the employment at Great Adventure so low that they decide what rides they can "afford" based on staff head count? Or is it more of a budget issue of how many people they can pay?
  12. so how much are they? my passes for this year were $62 each through my job.
  13. I would ask if he wanted his son to die, cuz thats what would happen if the boy didn't fit into the restraints correctly
  14. i hope the cars have more room than the carnival version. I'm 6'1 and can barely fit in the carnival version.
  15. I think it's safe to say that it wont be a coaster as there's no construction yet or any signs of it.
  16. Good to hear it will be open for labor day weekend!
  17. Great Adventure doing something preventative? That would be smart. Fix any issues before they become a major problem.
  18. I picked dorney just because it's closer. Hershey is way better than Dorney though.
  19. i saw "SFGA Announces Giant Lineup......" On the main forum page. I got really excited thinking it was the new announcement! haha
  20. Early entry is one of the many things the management need to fix. Early entry should be 30 min and done at the front gate, not inside the park. There's already a season pass entrance, use that.
  21. Sitting on Zumanjaro while a Kingda Ka train goes by, you really feel the shaking at ground level. I can only imagine how it feels up top. I think its more of an issue of something falling off Kingda Ka then the vibration. Great Adventure should've found out before they built the ride. Hopefully they will fix this off season so Kingda Ka can return to full capacity. I see no impact on Zumanjaro either way. By the time they load and unload Zumanjaro, two Ka trains go by.
  22. I haven't worked out which order i'd go on now. On a regualr day i'm thinking hit Kingda Ka first, then Zumanjaro, Superman, and Green Lantern. Those seem to have the longest waits. Even though I went on early and the line wasn't long, the wait for Zumanjaro wasn't bad. The line moved quickly. By the time I rode it twice, the line for Superman was at least 30min and Kingda ka looked pretty long also. It's hard to tell with Kingda Ka because you really can't see the line.
