This is February right? Feels like April. During a break from bike riding my daughter says she wished GA was open today just for us. Conversation turned into which rides we wanted to go on but then turned into a pick the ride that you wanted to re-ride all day. Oldest said she wanted to ride the sky screamer all day. My youngest wanted to ride Harley Quinn all day. Wife wanted Nitro all day and I wanted Zumanjaro. Sure wish the park was open to see how many re-rides we would have actually done.

Anyone here set a crazy record for re-rides? What ride was it?

I liked the movie and do look forward to seeing the others. I'm also a fan of WDW. We still feel the magic even though there is a lot to complain about. Was thinking about going in June to check out all the new stuff but might wait till October to beat the crowds and give them time to work out any issues launching AL.

IDK, Id be disappointed if anything is removed unless to be replaced with something better. Though not all are popular,(and some are painful) it's great on slow days to hit up every ride in the park. Even Tango a few times.

It's that time of year again. Miserable February is on the horizon. We always leave for a week to escape the cold dark depression for a bit. Anyone care to make a unique recommendation on where a family of 5 should go that's warm and reasonably affordable? We have passports in case they are needed so where are the "off the beaten path" gems that you guys found? Our all time gem was Costa Rica but are open to Florida, Texas or wherever. Go ahead and lists some ideas to help us decide if you can. All ideas are welcome.

Can confirm high volume on the mental stress test called the Burlington/Bristol bridge. Nerve rattling to cross that thing.

Does anyone know if the park doesn't want permanent webcams like CP has or is it a case where not enough people asked?

I also remember the slides were fast but at some point they installed some kind of cloth material heading into some of the turns to slow it down. Kind of ruined the experience once you got used to the way it was originally.

Think I was around 10 when this opened. Was very nervous to try it but ended up being my favorite section of the park that summer. I remember 1 day the park had low crowds and we never left the area until the sun started to set. Good times. Certainly miss it.

Thanks for all that you guys do. It's got to take a great deal of time and dedication to pull this stuff together. Then to keep doing it for a decade is extraordinary.

Anyone old enough to remember this place? I was born near Detroit and there was a ferry to take us over. Think it's technically in Canada. I recall taking several trips when I was very young but couldn't remember the name of the park until today. Found a cool video about its rise and demise if you guys want to check it out.

Tonight's fireworks were incredible! Great job GA!!! What a way to ring in the New Year!

 

From the picture it looks like they were shot off near the parking lot. Thought they were always by the lake. Anyone got a video? Looks pretty awesome.

We are. Yup, pretty busy today. Trying to make the best of it.

TSO is awesome. We see them every year in philly. Can't see them playing GA but there is a worthy TSO cover band that is pretty good too that might be willing to join HITP. I think it would sound awesome in the stunt arena. Add the lasers and pyro and we got an epic show.

We beat up SF a lot comparing them to other parks but I'm really grateful for all the effort and experience HITP brings to the operating season. Perhaps because it's still relatively new, it's definitely my favorite part of the season. Call me crazy but it just feels good to visit and walk trough all the various areas. If it's busy and we don't do much of the rides it's still fun to be there. Hope one day we can be there as it starts to snow. Would be an epic visual.

And let us add cash to the pass so I can spend money at both parks. This is especially prevalent at HH since I rarely bring in my wallet.

Today was awesome. Low crowds and a lot of fun. Even tried out Devil Dive, sling shot, and the go karts. Never did the pay rides before. Glad we did. Certainly much cheaper than the boardwalks. Add in all the adult drinks and the park made a fortune off of us. Money well spent.

Comcast added Netflix. Who would have thought...

Anyone go Sunday? Can't imagine much was open.

10am and already beautiful weather today. Can't wait for the park to open and even more excited for after sunset.

What have you guys said or done to successfully encourage somebody to try a new ride? It seems to be a struggle for me to get some of my family and friends to try more thrilling rides.
