  1. This past Friday, thanks to the the awesome team at Quassy, I had the chance to check out their new water coaster, Rocket Rapids. This new water coaster is the single largest investment in the park's 114-year history, yes more then Wooden Warrior, and the first of its kind in the State of Connecticut. Designed by ProSlide Technology Inc. of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, the ride incorporates the company’s patented RocketBLAST water jet propulsion system. As you'll see the high-pressure jets push two-person rafts up three separate inclines along this fast-paced ride. In addition, Rocket Rapids Water Coaster features four ProSlide FlyingSAUCER elements that provide high-speed accelerating banked turns. The attraction is over 600 feet in length and now brings the total number of waterslides in Splash Away Bay to 16 all of which have been provided by ProSlide. Needless to say this water coaster was a ton of fun and something I hope more parks continue to add. With permission I was able to shoot some footage that I then edited into the below short video. It contains multiple off-ride camera angles of the ride in action and a complete on-ride POV. Just using a GoPro for the on-ride and my iPhone for the off-ride shots and to edit I think it came out decent. Again a big shout out to Quassy for this solid investment. Hope you like it!
  2. Thanks! I also really liked Soarin’. I didn’t time it but they advertise that it’s 8.5 minutes for the actual ride portion. The Real Wild West was good but I liked the faster pace of the Iceland one even more. Place looks great inside.
  3. Recently I was in Vegas and the team at FlyOver Las Vegas provided the opportunity to check out their flying theater experiences. They are currently featuring two films, The Real Wild West & Iceland. Definitely had a great time visiting this attraction. Here’s a review / recap of the experience for anyone interested in checking it out. https://www.sfneonline.org/2022/05/08/soaring-over-the-real-wild-west-and-iceland-flyover-las-vegas/
  4. Are you saying that something like JDC doesn’t have enough of its queue covered to qualify for what you mean here? What is there does fully cover those sections.
  5. Above video link doesn’t seem to be working so here’s the link to the park’s video for Lil’ Devil. I love that the theming is tying into JDC and also that it’s original and not just another DC name branding. What does everyone else think? Would you prefer to see more original theming for future rides?
  6. It would be so cool to see some form of this brought back. Maybe tied in to plants found around the park or even in the Safari. Small bamboo plants come to mind. Better than cheap quality souvenirs and could be promoted as helping the environment.
  7. I never had the chance to experience this but it must have been amazing.
  8. Thanks! Totally agree. It is way more extreme compared to basically anything the park has. Everyone I talked to said it was their new favorite ride in the park. I know TGE isn’t focused on being a thrill park but I hope it’s a sign of more thrilling additions coming to add to the family rides. It is the closest SF’s to me but the one I go to the least compared to Great Adventure and SFNE. Still enjoy going there though.
  9. Had the opportunity to attend the media preview for Adirondack Outlaw at The Great Escape. This is definitely a fun new attraction that tower's over the park and provides some awesome views from the top. I put together an article about it and thanks to the park also have a full multi-cam on-ride with some extra drone shots. Would love to hear everyone's feedback and thoughts on this true new thrill ride at TGE. Thanks in advance for checking it out! Here's the full article: Ghost Town’s New Fugitive | Adirondack Outlaw Here's a quick link to the on-ride as well:
  10. There's been so many good reviews and write-ups about Jersey Devil here so I just wanted to add one more to the mix. Here's an article I put together from media day. Looking forward to your feedback! Link to article: The Devil is in the Details | Jersey Devil Coaster That is!
  11. And putting a quarter on my knee to see what would happen LOL
  12. I think it’s very accommodating. Here’s a couple of pics. Hope they help.
  13. Unless I’m misunderstanding this isn’t a remove and replace scenario. Eventually maybe but for the rides going it’s just a removal program as a cost savings measure to start.
  14. Here’s the second and final riddle. https://www.facebook.com/69421318512/posts/10157660657193513/
  15. I’ve never thought of El Toro as being really rough. It has developed rougher spots at times but it’s still a world class woodie, my favorite, that I can’t see going anywhere anytime soon. The park has tons of other space to create an area if they ever decide to commit the funds for one. Not saying they should but before El Toro ever gets “removed” I’d think RMC would get their hands on it first.
  16. It seems to be down a lot and even when running it’s very temperamental. Doesn’t like cool weather and the new trains can severely jackhammer unfortunately. If it didn’t have the issues and ran smoother I’d love it but it’s more lawn ornament than ride now. Prime space for a better running attraction in the future. Between it and Flashback’s space I could see something like Maxx Force giving SFNE a launch coaster.
  17. Agreed for SFNE #1 to me would be Goliath. Second Possibly Flashback or a relocation of Gauntlet. Others Crime Wave - Been down a lot Tomahawk Depending on maintenance / operation costs Blizzard River. For TGE Condor Bobsled Flying Trapeze
  18. Might be simple but it’s much cleaner and a lot more mobile friendly due to that. Nice to not see the need to cram as much as possible into ever pixel. Step in the right direction IMO.
  19. Maybe moved into more of a corporate role?
  20. Why was the drop removed?
  21. You need to purchase tickets here. https://sf-nj.store.sixflags.com/packageDetails/10074652/keyword/safaridrive?sfCustomerID=&_cid=1987241221.1587677975 Then when you go to the park for your reservation they’ll scan it just like they will scan your pass and anyone else’s in your group. Hope that helps.
