Was the attendance enough to make it worth it?

Thanks for sharing. I'll be going to SFMM for my first time this coming weekend. I was able to extend a business trip so I'm really looking forward to it.

Not me. The girl said no you have to go around and go through the turnstile again.

That's one of the many reasons I like Great Adventure, they encourage re-rides and other parks won't let you ride again without walking through the empty queue again even if the station has no one there.

The only ride ops that wouldn't let me reride without walking around were on Zumanjaro and I had an entire car to myself when I asked if I could reride.

No phones won't take away the metal detectors.

Yea I literally got off would see what seats filled in if someone was waiting for my row and would just jump in another row that wasn't filled. The ops were totally cool about it. I could have easily gotten more rides in just decided to walk around a bit after 12

For anyone considering to go today definitely do it. Everything was pretty much a walk on yesterday and the staff was totally cool about rerides all day. I arrived at 10:50 and left at 7. Here's what a got in.

Is everyone will update about Justice League dark ride this weekend?

As I mentioned there is really nothing happening for the JL yet. Here are a couple of pics from 11/5/16 showing the site prep.

 

 

I still see the same steel structure under Nitro. When looking at it there really doesn't seem to be enough for a large building. Any chance with the Park changing Presidents that JL's location could have been reevaluated? I'm guessing not but the sim building is still there.

Nothing really happening yet. I took a couple of pics which I'll post later.

I'm planning on going tomorrow. I'll grab a few pics of the site.

What about simple pictures and other things that aren't on ride related. The geo fence would be overkill from normal usage and take away from guest experience. Not to mention banning cell phones would make the in park app useless.

Is it a great day to go for the park itself then? How was the in park attendance / wait times?

It is a separate lot but same main park entrance. Definitely closer though. Superman will most likely be closed to the public until noon on Sat. Plan to hit other stuff first.

It doesn't make sense in the way that even at pennies on the dollar they would never recoup the investment. GE can never pull in the number of guests required to make that a smart investment. It would be like if GA built a hotel that was big and fancy like Disney's Grand Floridian. Yes it would be an awesome addition and a few people would love it, but not enough to justify the expense. It's just too big and too expensive for the scale and size of the park.

 

I understand what you are saying but with your same thought even though GE is a lot smaller / less of a draw they did build a nice lodge next door which GA doesn't even have. If you start to add some rides that would be real draws I believe attendance would increase.

^You're probably right but maybe they could get creative and make it fit. Why wouldn't it make financial sense? Two "new" B&M's in one year for pennies on the dollar. GE gets their ultimate signature coaster and Great Adventure turns a prime location ride into an actual enjoyable draw. There's a few games located there to hopefully add to more $$$$ spent.

Bizarro to Great Escape which would be huge for the park and they wouldn't need to think about a coaster for a long while. GL converted to floorless is what I'm thinking.

Nice review. Actually shared the link to this over on SFNE Online. There is a ton of negative based on the parks decision to assign seats and the overall behavior of employees in general. Wanted to share someone's thoughts who doesn't have SFNE as their home park.
