^The Giant Discovery is seriously in another league. I've been on Cedar Point's and Kings Island's HUSS models, Kings Dominion's Mondial, and Kennywood's Zamperla. To give some sort of comparison, on a scale of 1 (sucks) to 10 (better than my favorite coaster), I'd say...
Cedar Point's HUSS: 6
Kings Island's HUSS: 5.5
Kings Dominion's Mondial: 5
Kennywood's Zamperla: 8.5
I would definitely rather get a Huss, but GA seems to be installing Giant Discoveries recently sadly. We'll get a ZGD with like a crappy weak DC theme like: Aquaman's Aqua Revenge

Yeah so we know where that's going. What about our Giant Discovery? I'm assuming they remove the Autobahn station and put it there.
-
What about the area where voodoo island is? It seemed like a big area when I was walking through it.
Voodoo Island, from what I'm seeing on the map, is too out of the way. It's on the outcropping the Log Flume is on, and I'm not sure there's infrastructure enough on that area for a large ride.

That's what I thought. So hyped!
-
Alright thanks. I'll definitely get it next yeat

Hey is it basically confirmed that Justice League is going in The Chiller's old place right next to the observatory or is there some debate still?
-
I never got the dining pass before, but I'm thinking of getting one for 2017. Is it worth it or should I stick to paying like normal. I go about 5/6 times a year in case that factors in.
-
Surprised GADV doesn't have a Chickes and Petes yet. Just about all the other amusement places have them.
That would be awesome if they got one. Crabfries IN THE PARK! I don't know if its gonna happen though because Six Flags.
-
IF they relocated Adeventure Seaport and Safari Kids could we possible have room for another coaster with elements that go over the water? That would be really cool, especially if it's a dive or a wing, with a near miss dive or turn right by the water.

I do agree we need some kiddie area updates within a few years. Those areas are basically ghost towns if you go back there. Lets get a prediction timeline going:
2017: Justice League
2018: Flat Package (Including Giant Discovery)
2019: Kiddie Areas and New Safari Additions
2020: Possible New Coaster?
-
That being said, I don't know if GA will ever get one. It's a lot of money and doesn't seem like where the chain is today. I don't see anywhere getting a big ride for a while.

Likely nothing. The park doesn't mind have large vacant portions of land. Shapiero was more than happy to rip rides out and leave plenty of empty spots that still remain to this day.
Good point. I hope they at least put some kind of shop on the ground level, it's a good location

If they skyride goes, what goes in that side of the fort? I agree it's a possiblity, now we'll just have to wait and see
-
The Skyride and Parachutes are the two most vulnerable rides at the park today.
I honestly can't see the skyride going. I would leave an empty spot in the for that cant be removed and the whole ride would be a pain in the ass to get rid of. It always has long lines and Its a crowd pleaser. If anything, the paracutes are gonna go.

Yeah luckily I think most of the "historical" rides are here to stay. Skyride, Mine Train, Log Flume, Parachutes all are fixtures of the park at this point and I cant see a world where they get removed.
-
I always loved the historical signs when I was younger. It was so cool to ride my favorite rides like Rolling Thunder and Runaway Mine Train and then see some of the history behind them. It's one of the reasons I like this site so much.

Interesting to hear you say that. I felt just the opposite, that Sheikra was a one-trick pony that got boring immediately after the first drop, whereas Valravn packed much more action and dynamism in after the initial drop.
I think Griffon though is still the best. The water drop, the scenic views, the Busch Gardens landscaping, all come together and make it great.
-
I think a wing coaster with loops and corkscrews would be great but that isn't coming in 2018. Like some others here, I'm also expecting a package of flats but would love to skip new additions for a year or 2 and see the money spent on cleanup and improvements.
Definitely. I think we'll get as follows
2018: Giant discovery, kiddie area stuff
2019: 45th Anniversary! Some sort of improvements, maybe adding new areas
2020: New Coaster (Wing or Dive)
-
I don't know about a dive, but what about a wing? You could do some kind of gatekeeper thing over the park entrance, have the body over in old country.
-
GL florless and then what in Bizzaro's place? I'm thinking B&M dive or wing, something that can add to the skyline maybe

Enough with the all the "coaster removal" nonsense. Theres no reason for them to rip any of them out, theres MORE than enough empty real estate in that park (closed areas, wasted space, etc) to put in new flats, coasters, what- have -you. I dont personally care for GL but dont feel it -or any other coasters should be removed. We've lost enough of them.
I get the space for flats, but in the current park boundaries I''m not seeing much room for coasters. With the exception of the RT footprint I don't know where one would go.

I'd be fine with them taking Bizarro out (especially if they turned GL into a floorless)
I'd love to remove bizzaro, but I don't know if they will. I think the reason the lines are so short is simple: location. Bizzaro has maybe the worst location of any ride in the park. It's so far back, I don't know if some people want to go all the way over there to get to it. Not from a enthusiast point of view, but a GP one i mean. I think bizzaro is a good ride for the park. As for GL, I think it's too new for anything to be done yet. It's the second newest coaster in the park, and it has pretty consistent lines. I dont think it'll get the floorless treatment because we already have one. I would like to see superman get removed or replaced though. (personal opinion I know it'll never get removed.

I don't necessarily want to remove any rides. I was just saying that, if it came down to it, I feel like that would be the most likely candidate for removal. I personally enjoy Batman because it doesn't usually have long waits and it's pretty intense. If anything needs a paint job though, it's green lantern. Coming up that first lift hill boy had the paint gone away after 5 seasons. Where do you guys think a new ride would go, I'm curious to see some input.

Good point they can put it in rolling thunder's footprint if they can find the space for a queue. If that for some reason couldn't work I think if they removed batman (coming up on 24 years now) and the stunt theater you could have space for a pretty stellar coasterGAdv has a bunch of land with RT's old footprint/behind Toro heading towards the old safari entrance. I think that is definitely the logical place for the next addition/expansion.

I wasn't saying that. I was saying that no matter what, the theming on these rides is pretty generic justice league stuff. I would rather get a HUSS but SF will probably go with Zamperla based on the past few years trends
