  1. So I was looking at the map of great adventure today and I realized something: Despite all the forest around Six Flags, its gonna be hard to easily expand in the future. Over on the Bizarro side of the park the Safari cuts off expansion. On the other side, the backstage facilities would force a ton of buildings to be torn down and be rebuilt, which would be extremely expensive. They can't expand into the premiere parking lot, because that would mess with the front entrance. Expansion into the lot by Kingda Ka would require reworking of paths around Kingda Ka. Filling in all of or part of Switlik Lake would be very pricey, but worth it with the removal of the grandstand. I think the only feasible option is removing rides. And If they remove stuff, I think a good portion of Old Country and movie town is due to go. The first I think would be the two theaters, followed by dark knight, followed by batman. This is all just speculation, but to me It makes sense.

Haven't been to the park in a few weeks. Went yesterday and found Some ride dispatchers are now explaining NJ law and penalties regarding phones and loose articles. Nitro announcements were loud and pretty obnoxious in my opinion. I get the idea behind it but found it rather annoying.

Yeah I had a pretty dickish ride operator on bizzaro. There was no line so he was screwing around with the ride staff and kept releasing the restraints as we were about to leave the station. It took us like 10 minutes to get out and another 20 to get off because we had two cars in front of us. Not a good experience. Pissed off a lot of people on the ride.

I was wondering if anyone else who had been to the park in the last few weeks has had the same experience I had. We were on Bizzaro at around 1:00 and there was no line to be seen. Because of this, the main ride operator kept screwing around with the rest of the ride staff. He was releasing the restraints after they had all been checked, messing around with retracting the floor which almost made one kid fall down onto the track, messing around with the air gates, and making the load time 10 minutes for a half filled car. We then waited 20 minutes on the end of the brake run to be able to get off. I didn't get his name, but has anyone else had bad experinces with this guy?

  3. Right. Or use the current space occupied by TDK. There's also (IMO) room for a station on the site of the old observatory and surrounding land going towards the new macho nacho. And, if they're not going to show in the old stunt arena, it would be a decent space for a coaster.

NgN0eCE.jpgI was thinking these are really the two options for a new coaster in MovieTown. You can either have one with a really compact layout, similarly to Batman, or you can have one with a slightly larger footprint, like a Green Lantern. (not saying it should be either of those types of coasters, just based on their size)

  4. I'm definitely excited for JL. The park has badly needed a dark ride for a long time, and this fits the bill. I am most excited for that area of the park reopening and getting the shot of life it has needed for years. Between Joker and JL revitalizing dead areas of the park, GAdv will feel a lot more complete than it did just a season or two ago.

For sure. Dark rides have been one of the only holes in our lineup. This will definitely cement GA as the best Six Flags park. If we add another cool coaster in the next few years, we may even top Cedar Point

  5.

Now a days its about once every other week although this year has been a bit of a challenge with schedules, weather, etc. I really have visited the park religiously each season. During the 70's it was just once a season during an annual family trip, and than about six times a year in the early 80s before I had a drivers license, but once I got that it was much more frequently. I even bought season passes the years I worked at the park so I could go early in the season and later in the season when I wasn't working because of school.

That's awesome. I've had a pass for 6 years now and its money well spent. Can't wait to see what they do in upcoming seasons

  6. A flat would also be cool. Outdoor wild mouses work fine at Hershey and Dorney. And it's a good coaster with a low 42" height requirement for kids.

maybe a good point. they could re-theme it for the Looney Tunes or kids safari area. If you give it a new coat of paint it might be cool. Then they could put a frisbee in the place of dark knight they could use some of the old country space for a new coaster.

  7. It was a game promotion that was set up weds-Sunday's however it is now over.

Ok thanks. I remember seeing signs for it earlier in the year, and the inflatable was down for a while. Recently they put it up again and I wasn't sure why because I thought it was over.

  8. Who would be interested to remove and replace Dark Knight? It was a movie tie in ride, and is coming up on 10 years in the park. I think that, along with the fact that it's just a wild mouse make it a prime contender to be replaced with something more interesting. I think with Justice League coming next year, the redevelopment of that side of the park could be good, and I just don't see a need for Dark knight?

  9. I hope they add some more stuff to the Old Country area. I think they could take out the Autobahn and add the Giant Frisbee there. Can we get a consensus whether or not there's a chance of them taking out Showcase Theater or the stunt arena? This could free up some room for a new coaster back there. Or they could take out Batman and put in a new ride there. Kind of far fetched but its always possible.

  10. So I've been to the park 8 times this year. but I only just got to ride the Joker. I was excited to go on it, put I always ended up riding Nitro a bunch and never got around to getting on it. The results: Disappointing. Based on the ride video and people talking about it, I was expecting an intense, high thrills experience. What I got was a ride with a smaller than expected amount of inversions and a really short ride time. The ride time, of course, was expected but overall it was a lackluster experience. I kind of felt bad for the people waiting in line for it. But maybe that's just me. So I want to know, now that the summer's over, what are your final thoughts on the Joker?
