  1. If I'm not mistaken, Six Flags doesn't really celebrate any parks anniversary too well. and besides, the 50th is more special than the 45th.
  2. It pretty much seems that it won't be a coaster. But we also dont have to automatically assume it would be a Giant Discovery either. Granted, Great Adventure is one of the Six Flags parks that doesn't have one but its not the only option for a flat ride that would fit the collection nicely. Shot in the dark but Six Flags has worked with S&S for many years and it seems they will for the foreseeable future. I could see them installing an S&S Screamin' Swing. One would fit nicely between Metropolis grill and the stadium, they cant be that expensive, really fun. And who knows, if Six Flags ever pursues the Two Face theme, most Screamin' swings have two swings. That would allow for some theme to be applied to it. The six flags survey was asking questions about the tallest inversion, who knows, maybe S&S have been working on a model that brings riders more vertical than current ones. That would certainly be a cool addition.
  3. Given the new utility markings next to the old Stunt Show stadium and the lack of any land clearing for an attraction, a roller coaster is very unlikely unless they want to be months behind construction. They didn't tear down the Auto Bahn for Cyborg until after the 2017 season. Chances are if the land with the utility markings is used for anything, it will be cleared after the season.
  4. It has never been confirmed or any signs of the construction of a raptor have started. a raptor for 2019 is very unlikely and is not really needed. A Giant Discovery is way more likely. But still not confirmed.
  5. Didn't the Skywarp track have exposed metal from the factory where the road wheels would run on the top surface of the track? If so, it's very easy to tell the difference.
  6. Wow. I was there yesterday. I saw nothing besides some new paint markings on the ground infront of the stunt theater and some new looking land marking flags right where the old stunt mans free fall was.
  7. No. You no longer need your physical pass for anything. even when activating new seasons passes, you can use your phone.
  8. if you download the app and press the button which looks like a bar code, it will ask for your last name and your password. when you enter those in correctly, your pass should be loaded on the app along with any food and or parking benefits and other too. you will get coupons for food, merchandise and skip the line passes on there too as well as a full year calendar of events. I always rely on my phone with my pass on it. i only ever used the physical pass twice since I had it. To make loading your pass on the app easier, there is an option to scan the code on your pass, but that never worked for me and obviously wont work for you.
  9. So I went to the park yesterday (Wednesday the 27th) and i noticed that some new paint made it's way onto 2 support columns of the run away mine train. Only about 4.5 feet of each column is painted. But they are over by the path between el Toro and bizarro right before the bridge. Hopefully this means a repaint. And it must have been done on Tuesday night as there is a video of someone in the park the day before I went and the columns were not freshly painted.
  10. That fence has been up since they opened the path again. which its been at least a month at this point. My guess is they are gonna do some construction around the path to get it to look less abandoned. but at the very least, those walls are to hide the old concrete pads from Balins and to hide the old rotting building.
  11. Believe it if you want. I'm not. I am just going to keep the idea of a Riddler themed RMC in my head but Lakefront doesn't have enough room. Its really not the biggest spot. Unless they go over the water. There is just more dry land by justice league and over by the recently opened abandoned path. Don't forget that anybody can write what they want on wikipedia.
  12. Just wondering where this information is from? I have checked the city board agendas and more and didn't find anything on past or present project.
  13. I say we already are getting signs of construction. The path between El Toro and Kingda Ka is open again and construction walls are blocking off Splash Water Oasis and the path of Bloodshed for Freight Fest. Plus Splash Water Oasis has been removed from the app in the things to do and number logo on the map (in the app). Plus if you take a look at the current app map, a mid to late 2017 map and a new 2018 map, the app shows a little path that goes right behind the Safari Discovery stadium.
  14. I heard they said that the path would open when the area was developed more. Apparently a construction wall from where Liberty Snacks was built is not closing off an area near the KK side of the path. Maybe that is the new area for expansion next year.
  15. I definitely feel like Jackson Township will soon give some more freedom for what Six Flags does because of what they give back to the town. Soon it will be power from their solar array, water from their new plant and with the future project of a company bringing a big sports facility to the area.
  16. I just thought of something. I would actually prefer a Zamperla Thunderbolt over a Raptor. If you have ever ridden one, they have excellent ejector airtime, vertical lift, one more seat per train than a raptor, great hang time and the turnaround is something you don't normally see.
  17. yeah. definitely look for land clearings or other types of clearings. i just think it would be hard to tell if there are land clearings by justice league as there is already a pretty open spot to the side of it.
  18. I low key would rather go to Michigan's Adventure than ride Green Lantern again
  19. I can't believe how fast it runs throughout the inversions. But my major question is strength of the structure. obviously every coaster on the east coast has to be strong enough to withstand hurricane winds and blizzards. I always thought the supports to Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster looked a little sparse or at least small. I wonder how a raptor would hold up in an NJ park
  20. i was actually just about to ask. Their website says they would update with construction but there are no updates
  21. I would always ride it based on how good it is. But the colors are terrible. Atleast the head rests and other parts of the seats and restraints don't wear as badly as other B&M hypers. Should start a change.org petition to change the colors
  22. Well, don't forget about queue lines and switchbacks and access to the ride for winter maintenance. It seems like it could fit fine but capacity is too low
  23. Yeah. I noticed that. does anyone know when their system will be online? Before, after or at the same time as Great Adventures? Im confused as why Six Flags keep saying that Great Adventure will get a worlds first or be a worlds first when another park in the chain is getting the same thing. like worlds first ABC Tourbillion. Like Fiesta Texas is getting one too for 2018. And the worlds first solar powered park. Two other parks along with Great Adventure are doing the same thing.
  24. I have always said the tallest Giant Discovery would have been perfect for the spot of the Joker. Because when you walk in and see a huge Frisbee flying through the air right be hind the gate, that would have been a better site to see compared to the Joker.
  25. I would love to see it next to Justice league in the tress as that area needs more work, its a great spot that if its tall enough, it will be the first coaster people go to and that the boardwalk is pretty complete. The board walk is also one of the most congested parts of the park and that makes that area enjoyable.
