  1. for those who don't know, the picnic area was the largest picnic area at six flags great adventure but over the years, rides took over the area, example being the pendulum which took over half the picnic area and now half of the picnic area is becoming part of a roller coaster so this begs the question, what is the future of the picnic area, are they going to move the picnic area for future expansion of metropolis/movietown area?, for me, I could see the picnic area moved to where the safari expedition station used to be so what is your guess?

Looks like Great America is retiring the Pendulum...

well, its look like its bye bye to this ride that used to operated at six flags great adventure

  3. pirate flight, they sent that ride to geauga lake instead of getting a copy of that ride, what makes it worse?, they replace it with a ride that feels out of place in lakefront that used to be in golden kingdom

flying wave, they would have replace it with a newer model and just place skyscreamer in the old spinmeister site instead

simulator theater, they should never closed the attraction after the 2009 season, they would have shown robots of mars in there instead of gutting it just like six flags over texas did

Musik express, this ride would easily been rethemed to the flash just like six flags magic mountain's ride

rodeo stampede, they should have easily move the ride to where the western shootout building is & let six flags over texas get a copy of that ride

antique cars, they should have move the ride to another area like they were going to do

splash water falls/movietown water effect, they should have put the dark knight coaster in the old site of the chiller station instead (that would means justice league would have gone to the old simulator theater building instead)

Where did you hear inverted? How cool would it be (and probably 0% chance if happening) to be dueling, chiller themed, and one super boomerang and one inverted super boomerang

I'm sorry, when I heard super boomerang, I thought its has inverted in the title

(sorry for my typing on the word vekoma because anytime I type the word vekoma on the forums, its got switched to venom instead of vekoma)

  5. im wondering about the glow in the park parade floats, did they still has those, because I thinking that six flags can bring back the parade, I mean, if six flags great adventure can bring back oktoberfest, why not glow in the park?

  6. so you probably guess by the title, the boardwalk area is looking outdated in my opinion, you have a standing but not opreated parachute tower, a empty building that used to be the right stuff, the empty space that used to be the season pass center, superman & green lantern are most likely to be move to movietown/metropolis if they wanna add a superman ride there & it needed a makeover, so this is my idea comes to play (you know, this is a if I ran the park thread so anyone can make their ideas)

As far as my ideas, both are little ridiculous and the first is more of a joke (someone mentioned it before in the earlier days of this forum)... so lets start:

imagine if part of boardwalk becomes South Park:

    image.png.7078b53f64802d09dac102df87ead42e.png

think about. Warner bros (which has dc comics & looney tunes in six flags) distributed South Park bigger longer & uncut for the international markets, and Warner bros & six flags has a relationship together, not to mention, there are South Park themed experiences around the world including this one:

    image.thumb.png.14c67843dc3b38f8a2071eeda1069adc.png

    and this one:

    image.thumb.png.a86c309e9bc3e592458df08d0adf73c5.png

and not to mention this one:

    image.thumb.png.4d0745a91956f19b810e1c9f3e3816e6.png

now that gotten out of the way, time to talk about retheming the rides as well as the additions of new ones:

the coon & friends the ride (formerly superman) a high flying adventure with the coon & friends, the trains will be themed to human kite

    image.png.7d49d472cb1dc21b201c75b5e9687bb8.png

pc principal the ride (formerly green lantern)

themed to pc principal from South Park because why not:

    image.png.26eb674258d735b2cc46d9ac1a3514a3.png

Clyde fortress tower (formerly parachute training center)

the tower has been converted to a observation tower themed to Clyde fortress from South Park: stick of truth:

    image.thumb.png.bb10c962bae9bcf41463219499b3f361.png

kenny's flip of doom (formerly twister)

try out the ride where Kenny got killed on (just for the storyline of the ride):

    image.png.c01a858217e6a5c063d2175af936e5ec.png

South Park rally (formerly great American road race)

themed to the video game of the same name, guest can ride on go karts themed to South Park characters:

    image.thumb.png.1953cff542e7e695e179c1bafd1d7fc4.png

South Park the ride (Formerly the right stuff mach 1 adventure)

enter through the South Park elementary school and board the bus for a field trip around South Park (think of it as justice league but without the blasters, I mean, if six flags over Georgia & six flags over Texas can have two dark rides, why not six flags great adventure get a second dark ride):

    image.thumb.png.6ea8caec87d7b7a3160af2bfedb15cc5.png

a new flat ride addition: a Zamperla air race ride themed to city airlines in the old looping starship space:

    image.thumb.png.38624074c8329ed839d6a537ebc4e584.png

and maybe turn the old support buildings in the boardwalk areas into walkthrough attractions themed to the South Park houses:

    image.png.1a2ce422c6ab433c5f54a2931377de0a.png

As a second idea (far more realistic), a video game company that yet to have its own themed park attractions. that one being Microsoft:

    image.thumb.png.d77993d3176b84e92535c0f7a4aca9dc.png

with Microsoft having a great video game library (halo, rare, mojang & soon Activision blizzard), it made sense for six flags to team up with Microsoft for theme park rides and this could be perfect since six flags worked with Microsoft in the past given the viva pinata promotion at Six Flags Mexico:

    image.thumb.png.47285d5030160f56d14c46550d4c47bb.png

I have plenty of ideas for such a theme area using part of boardwalk but I hesitate to include them because I'm "designing" my own park (as so many of us do) and use microsoft's world as the theme area for my park. So perhaps you'll see soooooon?

    What are your ideas!?

  7. I have a question, is the whole premium experience era considered a new dark age for six flags like the family friendly era of six flags from 2008 was (that included things like closing the old country area)

“Somewhat” related. Someone mentioned their normal spending is 110-130m a year. 200m two years in a row would be ~160m additional spending than normal

so, its be 2 years of spending at six flags great adventure?, I guess 2024 is their roller coaster (maybe with a ride like green lantern & slingshot did) & maybe 2025 will be a flat ride package (think of it like adventure alley)

Fiesta Texas really missed the mark on their teasers for 2024, and honestly this campaign hasn't been great either (but it's justifiable considering the whole park is being renovated). The giveaway of the ride stats happened far too early.. Jersey Devil had an awesome teaser campaign that was actually engaging and interesting

well, some teasers works, others didn't work but people still get a ride that they can enjoy

Things have a history of being planned/announced and then either being cut back or cut completely.

if so, im interested what were the contexts for the planned/announced things because I wanna see it, sure we have the spotlights but I want to see what the not made spotlights are about, I want to be interested in the cyclone, flightboard 5d, whale stadium, safari boat tours, Neptunes restaurant & antiques & crafts center

Ka - #1 Tallest in world

Toro - #1 Tallest Wooden in US

    Flume - 1st from Arrow

    Other two I got nothing

I think the reason the log flume is the first by arrow because its use of the spillway track, log jammer at kennywood would be the second I believe along with others afterwards

batman could be the first dc ride at a six flags park

& justice league could be the first dark ride six flags great adventure ever built but I could be wrong

  12. hey, whatever happened to the new boardwalk food court that was advertised in the maps that has chop six express

sorry for double posting, its because of the lack of responses to my post
