Yeah, the park seems like a mess this season BUT I am quite happy to see characters out again. I haven't seen them in many years now.
The post that aged like milk in question was me saying I'd never met Porky.
I also remember seeing Tweety at HitP 2021, but I finally met him at HitP 2023.

Sent them my favourite memory: my September 29th, 2018 trip. The one where I rode Batman: The Ride and stopped being so a-scared of coasters.

Street characters of the past returning for limited photo-ops, or a show at the Northern Star Arena, that is, if any past employees have the costumes in storage and were granted permission by corporate
Does that mean Marvin the Martian would be returning??
Or any DC character??

I understand the age of this, but I was the OP. I was 16 when I wrote this. I had no idea the parts were scrapped. RIP

That ride had the distinct issue of a "no single riders" policy due to the restraints. Also, retired rides aren't likely to come back-- they've already been "written off" by Six Flags due to cost to maintain.
I'd rather see a Hully Gully or Trabant ride which is similar, but overall better, unfortunately I don't think they make them anymore. I always liked our old Schwabinchen/Sombrero ride.
I had to ride it with my mom in 2019. She didn't like it.
If it were able to get relocated, then who would it be themed to?? Poison Ivy??

I want this forum to stay, even though I've made an account on ParkFans.
I can't afford to lose everything.

RIP Harry. He put alot of time into researching my favourite theme park. I'll never get tired of Great Adventure.

I want to open my eyes on the camelback when I ride Ka. Is it possible or do the forces make it hard?
-
Ka's cable snapped... Toro finally reopened, but now Ka needs to reopen before I take on the final two rides in the park's coaster count.
Might go to SFNE first. I heard Marvin still meets there.
-
Now when is Ka reopening??

Montezooma doesn't count anymore.

I can say from personal experience that this isn’t the case. I’ve stayed in the station and rerode Kingda Ka, Zumanjaro and others multiple times this year when able to, and never had any issues.
Not with Skull Mountain or Superman.

It's also a tourist attraction for people who live in North Jersey, because Nickelodeon Universe is overpriced and underthemed, and Luna Park is Zamperla.

I want the high-diving show back

Get WB to approve DC characters in the park

The 1975 Great Adventure song is a banger so I decided to write an updated version.
You are about to begin the greatest day
In your life, at Great Adventure
You are about to explore the greatest place
In your life, at Great Adventure
Ride the giant Ferris wheel,
Look around for mountain lions,
See the other rides down below
A place to bring your family,
A place where you can really let go~!
Great Adventure is here
It's a place you'll remember the rest of the year
Go on the flume ride and feel the greatest thrill
In the world, at Great Adventure
Laugh at the Looney Tunes, they're the greatest cartoon stars
In all the world, at Great Adventure
Batman: The Ride, then Superman
Will put a smile upon your face
And don't forget the bull, El Toro!
The biggest gate Safari Park,
Look anywhere around you can go~!
Open your eyes, 'cause the greatest day
In your life is here, at Great Adventure!
Open your eyes, 'cause the greatest day
In your life is here, at Great Adventure!
Open your eyes, 'cause the greatest day
In your life is here, at Great Adventure!
Open your eyes, 'cause the greatest day
In your life is here, at Great Adventure~
I might film a video of my Looney stuffies singing it soon.

I've been saying this for years. While I can't speak to absurd costs to maintain Kinda Ka, unions do result in greater expenses to any business. Personally, I believe SF management (corporate and/or at the park level) began to show their true colors when they first displayed a willingness (or need) to allow so many of the park's iconic structures, as well as labor intensive features such as shows, landscaping, and grounds quality, to slip in favor of extremely expensive rollercoasters and other rides that really draw a limited audience.
At the corporate level, the company (I think foolishly) decided to appear to expand and increase annual attendance through the acquisition of parks that were well below Six Flags standards. I think this was most evident following the sale of the parks by Time-Warner. Now, if this company wants to continue in the theme park industry, they need to shed all of their less than stellar parks, particularly those in smaller markets, and focus on improving the quality, upkeep, and guest experience at their largest parks and largest markets.
I love the Time Warner era. It had such great theming and more personality.

Hi Maddox. One tip you should've known was never ride Nitro in the front during rain.
-
Another thing that people claim the Chiller had was the Batman & Robin soundtrack. Do not believe them, because I made that up! I thought since Prince played in OG Batman's queue, Moloko and Underworld would play in Chiller's queue. But they did play Goldenthal's score outside the ride, according to Menachem Piekarski's videos.

Can I still ride a Shuttle Loop without leaving the USA? I know there's one at Frontier City...
-
Those clown and pirate signs are legit terrifying. So I'd go for Foghorn and Bugs.
-
I rode Sarajevo at TGE when I was 12.
-
Apparently, rerides without leaving the station are done for. You need an AAP pass to skip the line.

I went on Toro when I was 15 on a class trip. It gave me the stomach drop beyond comparison and scarred me.
Fast forward to now. I have been on Nitro along with Lightning Rod and Mystery Mine at Dollywood and several other steep rides. I know I can conquer Toro, because the stomach drop goes away with the older you get.
BUT WONDER WOMAN.
I have never been on a Discovery, but I imagine it'll give me the HARDEST stomach drop ever and make me unable to breathe. I'm not asthmatic, but if I were up there like that, then I'd be unable to breathe.
People have told that if I can handle Superman, then I can handle Wonder Woman. I've rode Cyborg Cyber Spin a ton, and I can handle that. People on YT are saying you don't get the stomach drop on WW, and you just get wind in your face. But everyone else is saying it's intense, you get the stomach drop, etc. TRUST... WHO DO YA?!?!
I've been on Joker (albeit at SFNE) and Twister. I can do it. Yet I'm just scared. It doesn't even LOOK that big anymore, neither does Ka. I honestly want to do this ride. Ride WW or bust!!

I finally rode it for the first time in 5 years on August 12th, 2023. I still need to ride Ka and Joker tho.
