  1. I know SFMM was the set of the Kidsongs video "Ride the Roller Coaster." I always wanted the kids to come back to SFMM as adults and shoot a remake. Josh Keaton was in it, and we know he's Flash and GL in Justice League: Battle for Metropolis.

To my fellow Disney history buffs, here's a little video I made from my family's vacation videos. Twenty years later, it's surprising what's entirely different and what's exactly the same. This one just covers what I had of Magic Kingdom, but I plan to make another one of Epcot and Animal Kingdom (which had just opened at the time) when I go back in June.

Then and Now: Magic Kingdom 1998 vs. 2018

Before I watch it, is S.I.R. (Simulated Intelligence Robotics) in this video?

  3. It's almost a year later and I have some good news. I might be a ride op at Nickelodeon Universe in the American Dream Mall this summer. I don't really like Nick (except for SpongeBob and sometimes Rocko) but I'll try my best to be a good ride op, considering how bad operations are at that park. I'll just end up quoting SpongeBob and asking if the Turtles are Japanese-Italian.

Have never heard of this, but just put it on and it's like the *quintessential* Six Flags song. Captures that throwaway teenage pop-punk vibe perfectly.

It's similar to the one song that really reminds me of all SF parks, which is "Grow Up" by Simple Plan. I remember it was used in a SF ad in 2002 or so (video here) and turned me onto that band before they blew up.

That song was also on the live-action Scooby-Doo soundtrack.

The DC areas in most of the six flags parks reek of late 90s. SFOG for the longest time, GADv currently, St. Louis just REEKS of it, Over Texas to an extent, etc.

That's to make us nostalgic for the Pre-52 era, when JLA was the latest edition of the Justice League before Snyder's take.

  6. Well, people do think Cyborg Cyber Spin looks like the machine. But I doubt anyone would remember Contact by 2018, so chances are it'd stay Cyborg, harry2004.

OR, the Contact attraction could open in the 90s, and in 2018 it could be rethemed to Cyborg.

I wish Moloko stopped at GAdv and the other Six Flags parks in the 90s if they ever did a US tour, since they were on the Warner Bros. Records label. They honestly didn't put much care in their so-called "US invasion." Only a US music video and that was it.

Who is Black Vulcan? the GP won't know who that is (Unless they are DC super fans and that is like 1% of the population)

people are tearing out there top spins and we have the similar Cyborg. With the times we are in, it makes sense they would tear it out

Unless the GP were around in the seventies, of course!
Black Vulcan was a superhero who appeared on the Super Friends TV show. He later made an appearance on Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law.

Park could use an Endevour, but it will either be themed to Super Girl or Catwoman (Spin Meister location). Deja Vu could be moved next to Batman's entrance and get themed to Poison Ivy, a bucket Blasters themed to Penguin to finish off the late Old Country. Maybe something like Pandemonium at Great Escape or Cyborg at New England to replace Twister (Flash or Shazam), Slingshot should get moved to either El Diablo's spot or across from Ka's station. A Mack Power Splash where the go-karts and the old Sim building could work if diagonally from entrance with the splashdown in the top right corner of the go-karts. They could do a double-sided cubby thing once you reach the station with a Green light showing empty for queuing guests (and red for occupied)-you just need to remember the locker/cubby number to get your things. Station is single-sided, with the cubby/locker as a barrier. Use the sim building (or its area) for the entrance and exit. If anyone has any good ideas to retheme the parachutes, be my guest.

The Endeavour could also be themed to Black Vulcan, but I don't think Six Flags has the rights to the Hanna-Barbera characters anymore.

Twister should be rethemed to Brainiac.

The parachutes will be the Watchtower.

Boardwalk gets rethemed to Metropolis, just like at SFMM.

  9. I know I posted a thread about this before, but this one is more logical. Movietown should be rethemed to DC Universe. Here's what we would do:

    • Add some more theming to Batman and TDK (especially the latter)
    • Add a flat themed to Poison Ivy somewhere in the area, and play "Poison Ivy" by Me'shell Ndegeocello and Ivy's dance theme from Batman and Robin in the queue
    • Add a ride themed to Grid near Cyborg
    • Add a ride themed to The Flash
    • Add a water ride themed to Aquaman (makes up for his absence in Justice League BfM)
    • Add a ride themed to Shazam. He needs more rides.
    • Play the soundtracks to all the DC movies (yes, this means we get to hear "Fun For Me" by Moloko.)

    I hope you enjoyed.

  10. So me and my mom are watching The Wizard of Oz on TCM right now, and I had the idea of "what if Grid (DC villain) was watching this movie? What would he think?" And it eventually evolved into a thing where Grid just watches classic Warner Bros. movies and riffs on them MST3K style. Grid would have his voice from the Cyborg Hyper Drive ride at Six Flags New England.

Somehow, I just think Grid would find The Wizard of Oz too saccharine...

  11. One of my facts WAS gonna be about The Chiller. I might do the Medusa thing, OR I might call GL the Scream Machine and say, "You know, somebody lost their hat on it once." (referring to a hilarious pov I saw of it)

Oh and on Twister I'll say "Enjoy your ride on Brainiac" because it totally needs to be rethemed to Brainiac

  12. So I've read stories about people being ride ops and having fun, and I would like to be one at GAdv. I'll pay attention and be responsible since I love roller coasters and flat rides, and I have autism, which means repetition is easy for me. My gimmick is going to be giving DC Comics factoids before sending people off on the rides with DC themes. Safety is my top priority.

However, due to the whole coronavirus thing, I'm not so sure when the park will open for this year or if they will hire me. I hope this will blow over and they'll hire me.

DC Comics characters meet & greet (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Joker, Harley Quinn, Supergirl, the Flash, etc...)

What about Cyborg? Warner Bros. Movie World Australia and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi has him...

  14. OK, so it'd be something like this.

The queue is SF-74's spaceship, the SS Stardust. A video screen people would gather at would display the predicament.

(We hear a female, British-accented voice with a metallic tint to it.)

"The SS Stardust, and possibly the rest of the galaxy, is in trouble. During a fight with computer virus Malefac, our planetary defender SF-74 managed to become infected. I am his mentor Miraje. I ask of you to help me rid SF-74 of this nasty virus, as it has made him hostile and aggressive. Aboard the special spaceship 'Viper,' you will be shrunk down to a molecular level and injected into SF-74's body, where you will confront Malefac directly. If we don't do anything, who knows what SF-74 could do. Please. You are my only ho-"

(SF-74 appears on screen, interrupting Miraje's feed.)

"So Miraje wants me the way I used to be, huh? I don't think so. I love bein' bad. And if you losers try and do anythin' about it, you're toast. Hehehehehe..."

You would board the train, which looks like a green spaceship. The coaster would launch into the regular Viper layout, but surrounded by projections that would depict SF-74's techno-organic insides. The layout would be extended with a few new maneuvers like an actual loop, and you would barrel roll into SF-74's brain, where you would find Malefac. He says:

"Hahahahaha! You're no match for me, weakling!"

Suddenly, the Viper's laser cannons would fire, knocking him out.

    "Noooooooo!"

You would beam out of SF-74's body, into a separate unload area where we see Miraje and a newly-healed SF-74 congratulate you on a spectacular mission.

"I am so proud! Thanks to you, SF-74 is back to normal!"

    "Ow, my head..."

"Please exit to your left..." (and so on and so forth.)

SF-74 would resemble TOM 2, Miraje would resemble a combination of Sara 1 and Sara 2 (since she has a body, which you see at the end of the ride), and Malefac would resemble Swayzak. When WarnerMedia rebuys Six Flags, this ride would be slightly modified so that the characters are who they were meant to be based on, and the ride name would be changed to "Toonami: Operation TOM." The Viper name for the ship would still stay in the ride.

BTW, right before Miraje's message starts in the preshow, binary code would appear on screen. When translated, it says, "Warner LeRoy."
