  1. There was a kid last year who brought a poster board to Six Flags' Ride Information Booth protesting he wanted the Kids Train from the 80s back for the 2020 season. It was somewhere in Golden Kingdom, and this kid had autism and had fond memories of riding it. So why not do the same to The Chiller?

If nobody has done it yet, we could easily convince Six Flags to get the parts back from Beta Carrero World and make new blueprints for the ride. With all the Internet infamy Batman & Robin the movie has, the theming would still be relevant. Assuming the parts haven't been scrapped, then all we need to do is make new parts while looking at old images and reconstruct it based from there. It'd be over by Cyborg Cyber Spin and Batman The Ride like it initially was.

I'm starting work on the poster board sign tonight. Any pictures/slogans/details you want me to include on it? I go to Six Flags in two weeks and I might bring it over there. If anyone sees me May 8th, go to the ride information booth and sign the poster board!

  2. If something had to get replaced, it'd be Green Lantern. As much as I would be sad to see it go, this replacement more than makes up for it.

It's an enhanced version of the old ride Viper, more smooth and more elements. Plus it'd be enclosed, if that was the case. And maybe it launches you? It'd be a mix of Disaster Transport at Cedar Point and X:/ No Way Out at Thorpe Park.

The storyline goes that a sapient robot is in trouble. While defending his home area from a sentient computer virus, he managed to become infected by his enemy. Your goal is to save the android by volunteering to be shrunk down to a molecular size and injected into the robot's body, where you will fight the virus. "Viper" refers to your ship in the ride.

The layout is similar to that of the original Viper, the trains looking more futuristic and spaceship like, and at least one real loop in there. Projections will be used to display the robot's metallic innards and the virus in his electronic brain, which will taunt you before being destroyed by a few blasts of laser light and you are expelled from the robot's body by way of a warp out.

In the queue there'll be a few minimalistic space designs and you know how Great Adventure would play electronic music in the station, well here we have the song "Ho Humm" by Moloko being played. The storyline will be displayed on video screens throughout the queue.

What do you think of this?

  3. Also my version of the DC Universe area keeps the Batman arena and just rethemes it to Justice League and turns the Chiller observatory into the Watchtower.

Justice League Arena is where people can meet hobos dressed as the DC cast minus Cyborg (wah wah waaaah), and also where people can cosplay and where bands can play (concert in front of the Cyborg ride)

I think having the themed rides scattered around gives it a little more variety.

  4. The only thing I dislike is that they put Brainiac in his comic design from the era instead of using his everyone-will-know Silver Age design which is the one being used today. Ya know, the polo shirt and briefs. I'm gonna dismantle that part of the sign if Six Flags doesn't listen to me. #NotMyBrainiac

Hopefully if they retheme the Twister to him they're going to use his standard design on the sign for that. Then they'll update the sign in this ride's queue.

Could be a great opportunity for a Justice League stunt show sometime in the future. Even though they're usually cheesy, it's still nice to be able to sit down after so much walking and take in a show.

Also, we still only have 2 water rides in the park (Congo and Log Flume). There's some leftover real estate next to Justice League (old Musik Express/Spinmeister spots) that would be a great area for some type of Aquaman themed water ride. Those hot summer days really make me yearn for the days of Movietown Water Effect and its giant splash waves.

You'll think you're looking at Aquaman (sorry had to make a Barenaked Ladies joke)

Although it can be a toss up, I usually prefer Bizarro to Nitro. Also, Skull Mountain has some of the best air time in the entire park (in the back seat at least).

Same and same. I usually ride Skull Mountain in the back.

Wassup guys! I know someone that works at gadv and I’ve seen pictures if backstage before.. I’ve seen the old ride vehicles fir stuff such as, the music express and the pretty monsters.. I’ve also seen the six flags old hippie van. If you want to see the hippie van you go to the looney toons seaport and go to Daffys submarine ride. It’s near there, I think they removed the other ride parts becuase cyborg.

I’ll look when the park opens!

Isn't Pretty Monsters like a 70s ride? Also... Booyah!

  7. Hello everyone!! I hope you are having a WONDERFUL day!! Anyway, I'd like to share my ideas for an expansion of Movietown/DC Universe, my favorite area in the park due to where most of the rides themed to my fandom, DC Comics, are in. I hope to see this come 2020. Hey, if an autistic kid could send a posterboard to the Ride Information Booth asking for the Kids Train to return for the 2020 season (I saw this on my school trip to Six Flags), so can I with these rides I want to see happen!

We'd have Batman, Cyborg, JL, and Wonder Woman along with a NEW Gotham City area where Batman can bring back its original level of theming along with Prince and Seal music as well as Danny Elfman's original score in the queue! Also returning will be a NEW version of The Chiller, with a fixed launch, better elements, and a better queue with a reference to the infamous Bat Credit Card as well as Moloko, Arkarna, and Underworld music and Elliot Goldenthal's original score. Anyway, outside The Chiller will be the Mr. Freeze Zero Degrees, a Rotor with an AC inside! Pretty COOL! (ICE PUNS)

The Poison Ivy Tangled Train (a junior roller coaster) will be right next door along with the Scarecrow (an Orbiter) and Riddler Revenge (a Scrambler.) Catwoman Whip (a Mondial Shake) will be next to the Batman ride. Batgirl Motorbike Race (a classic Whip ride with cars that whip around when they go around the bend) will be near The Chiller, junior coaster and Rotor and be themed to the famous motorbike race scene in Batman & Robin! The Chill Zone will be rebuilt and renamed to Cyborg's Snack Station. The Batman arena will be called the Justice League Arena and be the meet & greet with hobos dressed as superheroes minus Cyborg because good luck on hiring a minority AND making a convincing costume. GAdv can also hold cosplay days where kids/teens/adults can cosplay as DC characters on this stage. If they ever get to host a DC convention, this is where they're holding it.

Around DC Universe, we'd have a Super Round-Up themed to Cyborg's arch-nemesis Grid, Wonder Girl themed swings, some other Teen Titans stuff for the younger kids, a Martian Manhunter themed flying carpet ride like a Rainbow, a Green Arrow ride, a Sinestro ride, the Slingshot relocated and called Nightwing, and the observatory being the Watchtower, a place where one can learn about the many DC characters featured in the park "in case they don't know them" (to quote Cyborg.) There'd be Titans Tower Snacks, which is a place that sells snacks for the kiddies (as Teen Titans/Young Justice is the theme for the kiddie rides) and Gotham Pizza Parlor, which serves pizza.

BTW, Twister would be rethemed to Brainiac as it's adjacent to the Superman ride. And there'd be a Zamperla Endeavor themed to Black Vulcan replacing Green Lantern.

    Tell me what you think!

  8. OMG the singing cows. Nostalgia. This is the same place that apparently has the first Shadow doing the pre-recorded voice right before launch on one of the most popular coasters.

Different queue on MM JL? At least you're not forced to hear Cyborg babbling on like in the GAdv queue. The only reason I like it is because his voice is so cute and very sexy. Does anyone think that when he says "He's talkin' about CAPTURIN' SUPERMAN!" he's not really that panicked? In the ride itself he's panicked and shouting at one point, and it's miles better than his still-upbeat panic at that point in the pre-show. I can go on about how "In case you don't know me..." is a REALLY DUMB line, but I won't.

Looks like the park is almost at Fright Fest level wait times today. Nitro 85 minutes, Justice League 90 minutes and some of the other major coasters around an hour.

You think so? I went September 29th and there were no waits for anything.

Anyway, 90 minutes of Bumper Robinson's cute Cyborg voice would make my poor self faint. Why's it gotta be so hot...?
