  1. The 3D added something different to the ride since it seems like not many dark rides outside of Disney and Universal use 3D glasses. It would be good to see it return.
  2. Yeah, I was surprised how much track was added in the 6 weeks since my last visit to the park.
  3. People on Reddit are saying it is Skyline Attractions' P'Sghetti Bowl track. From watching an IAAPA video, the light up track looks like it is going to be really cool. https://skylineattractions.com/products/childrens-rides/psghetti-bowl-childrens-coaster/
  4. I hope it at least takes a few years for that to happen to me. I like being able to go to the water parks during fall and winter to take advantage of the low crowds and wouldn’t want to have to stop going that time of year.
  5. The one thing I won't get used to with the weather in Florida is that as soon as it gets to 70 degrees or lower, most people start to dress like it's 40 degrees back home. Yesterday I was walking around Busch Gardens in a t-shirt and shorts with no jacket and I saw so many people with winter jackets, hoodies, sweatshirts etc. It's also too cold for water parks for most people here even at 80 degrees. Typhoon Lagoon last week had maybe 150 cars in the lot.
  6. I remember the TV's when waiting in line for Rolling Thunder in the mid 90s. Even though the line moved fast back then, I liked Six Flags Television to help pass the time.
  7. I visited BGT for a few hours today. Operations were better than normal. Iron Gwazi was only stacking for 20 - 30 seconds. Cheetah Hunt had both loading stations open and was running 4 trains despite the trains going out with multiple empty rows. I thought it was interesting on a day when the park was empty that both Cheetah Hunt loading stations were open and it made me think they were expecting more crowds today. I thought it would be a low crowd day with local schools still in session today (schools in the area get all of next week off for Fall Break). My Disney World annual pass can't be used from today until the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend and I saw earlier today Rock N Roller Coaster had a 4 hour posted wait so it is crowded at other parks. Iron Gwazi reopened last Saturday after a temporary closure. I'm glad to have it back open since it's the star attraction of the park. I saw 2 maintenance workers at Phoenix. It looked like they were loading a water dummy into a seat and lifting restraints up and down on some of the other seats. I hope it does re-open with a day like today really showing how few flats and non coaster rides are operating. It was in the upper 60's, kind of cold for the water rides since you get soaked on both of them and besides those rides, that left the carousel, train and bumper cars for the only non coaster rides open. The new Screamin' Swing will help too. I also never tried Looping Starship at Great Adventure but maybe will try Phoenix if it does re-open. Christmas Town started this week and I'm looking forward to visiting at night to see all the lights and to finally get an Iron Gwazi night ride. Ride Count: Iron Gwazi, 3x Montu, 2x Cheetah Hunt, 1x Cobra's Curse, 1x Scorpion, 1x Sand Serpent, 1x
  8. It's interesting to see parks like Steel Pier and Playland's Castaway Cove go from having fair type coasters to coasters you would find in a full size park. Hopefully the Sky Rocket II won't have the comfort collars. I have only ridden Tigris (and the same trains on Ice Breaker) and it can be uncomfortable to get air time and lift up right into the comfort collars.
  9. Great pictures. I always like seeing the park getting ready for HITP.
  10. I'm hoping both stay for a long time. Even with Zumanjaro, the Parachutes are different in that they can be ridden by anyone as long as they aren't scared of heights where Zumanjaro is a thrill ride. A lot of parks do seem to be removing their Skyway rides but it is such an iconic ride at Great Adventure. Besides the transportation aspect, I like getting an aerial view of the park especially during HITP with the lights all over.

  12. With this addition, I think Hershey has got to be considered one of the best coaster collections in the country.
  13. Here are some pictures I took yesterday of the construction:
  14. I found a press release from 2021 with the details, only 13 rides and 3 coasters were running then: https://buschgardens.com/williamsburg/media-room/press-releases/010521-now-open-january-and-february/
  15. https://www.facebook.com/280718807769/posts/10160169220692770/ The park is going to remain open
  16. The only indoor rides I remember are Flight of Fear, Boo Blasters and the simulator theater if they are still using it. I haven't really paid too much attention to how well Busch Garden Williamsburg's attendance was over the winter since they went to year round operations as well but maybe it was good enough for Kings Dominion to want to try it too?
  17. https://seaworld.com/orlando/roller-coasters/pipeline/ “A first-of-its-kind surf coaster! Feel the awesome power of the ocean in a whole new way on Pipeline, the first-of-its-kind surf coaster. As soon as you’re in position, you’ll know something’s different. Experience the rush of launching 110 feet up and sensing every bank and curve as though you’re really riding the waves, thanks to an inventive harness that keeps you secure while giving you unparalleled freedom of movement. The seventh addition to the Coaster Capital of Orlando leaves nothing but amazement in its wake. Are you ready to get on board?” It’s going to be interesting to see how this coaster rides compared to older B&M standup coasters. I am a little surprised they went with another 54” height requirement coaster considering Mako, Kraken, Manta and Ice Breaker all have that same height requirement.
  18. I preferred those simple ticket/pass options. When I bought my first Dorney pass in 2006 there was only 1 or 2 options. Same with my first Great Adventure pass in 2008. I have seen that they keep adding and removing passes for Great Adventure and you think you got a good deal only to find out there is a better pass for less money a few weeks later.
  19. It looks like the show would have been a fun way to end a day at the park. I never got to see Laser Adventure but have always enjoyed night time shows/parades like Glow in the Park more than the day ones.
  20. Runaway Train and Big Fury since coasters are always the priority for me and I would also want to get the credits to add to my coaster count. For the third ride, I’d go with the log flume since they are one of my favorite non coaster rides.
  21. Zamperla posted a video on YouTube of the updated spinning Wild Mouse design that Cedar Point is adding next year:
  22. Very interesting Spotlight, I had no idea that Chiller's layout was so different from the final version.
