Wait, where's the park map?
-
What are the Six Flags Media Network frames for?
-
Yeah, people try to pretend theming isn't important, but families don't like the lack of theme in the park.
-
Actually, I know a little more on this.
My friend's dad used to run the log flume. He wasn't paying attention and he let a few logs pile up in the dip and that's part of the reason they got rid of it.

Road Runner Express?

I know this probably isnt the right place for this, sorry in advance!
So i just bought a new hair gel, got2b glued, and at the bottom of the bottle it said schwarzkopf. Is this schwarzkopf affiliated with the flat ride schwarzkopf?
I saw the ads in the park and I was trying to imagine him, after getting tired of coasters and flat rides, deciding just to make the hair gel people wear to keep their hair in place on his rides.

It's just a publicity stunt, guys. Calm down. I'm sure in reality they'd like the ride implode before admitting the area was "haunted".
-
I'm glad it's named Nitro. Krypton Coaster is such an awful name.
-
Showcase Theater was also supposed to be renamed Tinsel Town Theater or something like that. I like to imagine Houdini was going to be renamed Inception: The Ride...
-
Scream machine was going to be named ninja.
-
Were two of the rides added after the advertisements came out?
-
Well, the weather is pretty nasty. It's not really their faults.

Sadly, Superman and El Toro no longer play the themed music, all they play is pop music. Hopefully next season, they'll revert the music back!
For Batman: the Ride, you can add The Batman Theme and Attack of the Batwing from the movie album.
You can also add the Bizarro music to the list, there's a clip on YouTube from acquaz10.

I think we should get a seperate Balloon Race with the GADV Balloon design. It's all part of my dream where half of Fantasy Forest (the side with the Ferris Wheel) is turned back into Strawberry Fair with flats representing the history of the park. Sigh.....

I'm a movie buff -- so I find my list is a bit more 'weathered' than some of the others I've seen...
Worst:
1. Standing Ovation
2. Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
3. Timechasers
4. Clash of the Titans (remake)
5. Drag Me To Hell
6. Batman and Robin
7. Poltergeist II
8. Grease 2
9. Fame (remake)
10. Batman Forever
Best:
1. The Sixth Sense
2. Raiders of the Lost Ark
3. The King's Speech
4. E.T.
5. Jaws
6. The Blind Side
7. Signs
8. Inception
9. Poltergeist
10. Up

Yeah, Eruption is still there. I wish they'd change the name, it's nothing like an Eruption.

grounds75, that sounds like a beautiful memory. I wish I was able to do that - I hope by some miracle they decide to do it when I'ma senior .... being in the park all night sounds like it would be crazy. But kids would be too rowdy, and I doubt there would be any staff members up for doing that... or at least, enough to run all the rides.

@RobertDavid,
There is a such thing as wasted space. If you don't believe me, go to Hersheypark. It's smaller than GADV, but it has way more rides because it takes better advantage of space. GADV's rides are spaced so far apart that it's crazy to imagine it's the largest amusement park in the world with the relatively low number of rides it has. And don't even get me started on the horrible layout that can be fixed easily.
There are plenty of other spots that "resemble parks" in the park - but that's not what GADV needs! An Antique Car ride would fit perfectly there, and that back area of Movietown would still be relatively empty for you to go sit in your "park" ... although if you wanted a park, you might just go to your local park instead of GADV. GADV is a theme park, which is for rides - why sit in a quiet, empty place when you're at a theme park when you can sit in front of a ride or rides and watch people?

River King Mine Train at SFSL was retrofitted with stand-up cars for a few years.

The two Demons?
-
Where Mama Flora's/ Papa John's is in Movietown? (HBO Backlot Commissary)
And.... to RobertDavid, GADV has too much wasted space. Maybe it's quiet, but it's also pitch-black at night and scary.

While some offensive humor can be funny, that girlfriend comment is a bit over the top -- while you can help being obese, you can't help being ugly. Or cursing in the park is pretty bad too - but at the same time, edginess is good. But sometimes you have to decide what kind of image you want.

Great spotlight!
I know Shapiro came in halfway through the Plaza del Carnaval project, do you know anything about some of the stuff that was cut from being included in the area?
