I've heard TTD's launch is based off the weight of the previous train to predict the speed the next train needs to launch. Not sure if this is really what happens.

You might know that company's are know to pitch new ride ideas to amusement parks for new additions. Have you heard how the "ride" Dark Knight was most likely first designed for Paramount Parks as (Spongebobs) "Mrs Puffs Boating School"?

Great spotlight, these rides are soon becoming somewhat rare these days. I think Kings Island's Congo Falls days are numbered.

Are they removing there Enterprise flat ride?

First off great trip reports, I enjoy reading them. Good decision of skipping simpsons, it made me feel sick after riding. This is the first good comment I've heard about Sherk 4-D I thought it was terriable. I went to Universal for the first time this summer with my friends family. Staying on park property is a huge plus due to the Express Pass. 4 days of line skipping really had me spoiled. I hope they keep E.T. Adventure it was probaly my favorite ride there along with Rockit and Men in Black. Can't wait for your thoughts on IOA.

I was very impressed with the que line in and around the "Giant Drop" attraction at Six Flags Great America, something of this sorts would fit in the Best of the West area like you stated.

Now that I think about it, this is the only large park I can think of without a drop tower of some sorts.
