FF T/R October 12th

Well we arrived at the park early afternoon around 1:30 to begin our day. Our first piece of business was to get what could be a final ride on Nitro for the season. As always it was a great ride and the lines were moving quite quikly. We got lucky in that we had some exit passes to use because the line for Nitro was using the full switchback inside the queue and had roping outside of the sign to handle the overflow of guests trying to get onto it. Next we headed over to TDK for a ride which was about a twenty minute wait or so, and we enjoyed it as we always do. After that we decided to take in Hypnosteria for an early showing. It was ok, but I believe it was a different person running it from last year, and it jut wasn't quite as good. The show seemed a little unorganized and it was odd noticeing the house blinking the lights to signal the show had to wrap. My onl other complaint was the show is advertised as 45 minutes and it ended in less than 30!

After Hypnosteria, we decided to head over into the boardwalk for some more rides. We were going to attempt Elvira, but the line was completely out of the building when we were there, so we decided to let it be for another trip this season. Next we headed to Superman which had about an hour or so wait at that point in time. Th trains were dispatching very quickly and the crew was handling the crowds well as we only sat behind the loading platform for what seemed like maybe a minute at most after our ride. We then decided to hit the Character Cafe for some food, after which we headed over to The Demented forest as the park was advertising tickets going on sale for both trails at 5pm. We were informed the DF was not runing that way and that the line would be starting at 6pm and the trail would begin opening at 7 so we left to take in the Awakening Parade as it came through the park. As usual the Awakening is fun and the ghouls look great. We got on line for the DF at this point in time and got in a little after 7. I thought it was very well done, with many characters inside and just the confusing smoke and lighting effects at points made for a bit of suspense going around corners and everything. Once the trail was over, we headed to the Lakefront Cemetary which looked great and the characters were out in force. Got some good pictures there and then headed back to Circus Psycho which was ok. Only saw about 3 or 4 clowns in there the whole time, hanging by the entrances scring people as they came in. We checked out Zambora which is always a fun show and a quick one at that, My complaint with it there was that the side doors of Elvira were open in the queue and people were walking off of Zambora and into the queue for Elvira to meet back up with their party on line. We took a stroll into the Bone Butcher terrortory, which to me was a big letdown. The whole time there we saw two women total scaring people and the whole area was just completely dead. We headed back accross the park, got a picture with the ghoulmaster, and took in the final showing of Dead Man's Party of the night which is of course our favorite.

Overall FF looks pretty good this year and was enjoyable. The ghouls were out doing a lot of scaring in their zones, the actors were all more than welcoming to pictures while not breaking character at the same time. We saw a few people getting escorted out at night for laying hands on the actors themselves which is never fun. But we certainly enjoyed ourselves and it met my expectations. I am hoping to get into Escae during another visit if possible to see how it was as the feedback seemed a little more positive from people talking about it last night.

The onyl thing I though I would point out too is in case anyone was looking forward to a late FF trip on the last day of operations (Nov. 2), the trails, zambora, scabs, and a couple of othe things will not be operating, and all shows will end at 8pm so I would suggest if you want another full night of FF get there before the 2nd :) Pictures will be added later tonight to the gallery and a few on here as well :)

It was a very fun afternoon, and we could not have asked for a better day in terms of weather or park experience. I think the thing with the new Hypnosteria is that the gentleman MC'ing the show seems a little flustered at times which gives it a slightly downgraded feel. The things he has people do can still be fun, but there is just something slightly off about it in my opinion. I still say people going should give it a chance not only because it can be a fun show, but from day to day things we all know things can improve. As promised though here are some pictures from the trip, more in the gallery for your viewing pleasure :) Enjoy!

Just a little warning in case anyone is going on the last operating day

Hope you all enjoy!:) The rest are in the gallery but my apologies for lack of quantity as my camera seemed to blur a lot of what I tried to get yesterday :(

I was there Sunday as well and I had less than a good time. The lines for the rides were too long, people were extremely rude, line jumping was annoying, kids swearing and spitting all over the place, it was not what I would call fun. I thought it was a wasted afternoon/evening. We hit the safari around 12 noon and then got in the theme park around 2pm and left around 8pm.

On a positive note, the Safari was great and I didn't have to waste money on anything with the Season Pass and Parking.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy yourself there. Honestly if we didn't have exit passes our ride total might have been 0 because the lines were definitely the longest I have seen in a while. You didn't have a good time though at night with the FF activities? I am sorry to hear that because I thought the evening's activities were fun a worthwhile.

I didn't go through the attractions because I heard from a park employee that there was an extra charge for them.

We watched a few shows around the park and they were great.

I probably should've planned better than to go on a holiday weekend. I should've gone last weekend or next weekend.

But I wish these kids/teens would get a clue and not spit everywhere and stop the foul language. I mean I swear but I don't out in public like that. And the line jumping I mentioned wasn't on rides. It was for food, drinks, at the gift shops and for the restrooms.

Some kid jumped in front of me for a urinal and I yanked him away and told him to wait his turn. His father was mad but I said, "teach the kid some manners."

Wow I had people cut in line in front of me for rides but in a restroom jeez. Some of these kids, teens, and even some adults act like real A-holes.
