slydoc
So I was looking at the park's brochure for 1993 on this site and happened to see looking at the map for Old Country an attraction (No. 3 on the map) called the "William E. Hettman Memorial Gardens." It was where the Haunted Castle used to be. So I'm wondering who was/is William E. Hettman?
29yrswithaGApass
I was once told that he was a former Great Adventure employee who was instrumental in keeping the park perfectly landscaped. (We'll need to confirm that.) The garden was dedicated with his name in March 1991. Prior to that it was known simply as the Six Flags Great Adventure Botanical Gardens.
