GAcoaster
Interestingly enough, Six Flags almost renamed Valencia's Magic Mountain to "California Adventure" in the late '70's. I never knew that. It's funny because my impression of DCA was that it felt like Six Flags Over California.

GAcoaster
Nope...this man designed more theme parks than anyone, and is one of the true innovators of the theme park (yet so few people know about him)

acq10uaz
Disney did it after SFOT, which they made it popular. GAcoaster said hinted that the park was also closed.
GAcoaster
Not DL (the Disney parks were late to the party with POP, only starting it in the late 70's/early 80's).

GAcoaster
OK, upon further research Steeplechase is correct (you learn something new every day!) The first modern theme park to adopt the Pay One Price was Pacific Ocean Park. The POP (pay one price) and the park's initials dovetailed nicely.
