The Master
This past Christmas season Rifftrax premiered their riff on a film called Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny. It is a pretty crapy holiday film, it's the Manos: Hands of Fate of Christmas movies. However I noticed it was filmed at a amusment park with some neat looking rides. The film's credits showed it was filmed at a long closed down park named Pirates World. According to websites about the park, it featured a few used rides from the NY Worlds Fair and Coney Island. GAcoaster
Good find. I knew the NYWF Log Flume and Aerial Tower rides were moved there but haven't seen many pictures of them before.
The Master
I always thought the western log flume at GADV was from the NY worlds fair? Did the fair have two flumes or am I just mistaken? Also here is the unriffed version of Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny. You may want to fast forward to 3:50 to see the start of the Thumbelina insert that shows off a lot of Pirates World. Thumbelina was an earlier film made at Pirates World and was reused as a filler insert for Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny, that's how bad of a film it is. GAcoaster
No, the flume at GA was custom built for the park. The NYWF flume (actually twin flumes) was very small and compact:
