GAcoaster
Hurricane Harbor was designed with lighting so it could be open after dark, but it never is. How about hosting some night events? Other water parks host night time luaus and other parties and I think it could be fun to be there on a summer night under the stars. The Master
The only problem I see with this is that HH lacks underwater lighting for the river and pools for a safe night event.
BuddyChrist
The park does have buyouts from time to time and the lighting around the towers and pools are all more than adequate, the problem is that the path lights are very weak and they require bringing in light towers to keep someareas safely illuminated. If they put in better path lights around the park, they could definitely be open later and have special night events.
coastercrazy9
I can't imagine underwater lighting being that difficult to add, and I don't believe that it would cost them too much. What I think would cost them a lot to do is have it open every hot night, because the lights will burn out very fast.
gafreak
its a waste for them to close at 7, when they clearly can stay open till at least 9 pm...
RideOfSteel
its a waste for them to close at 7, when they clearly can stay open till at least 9 pm... I totally agree. Even without upgraded lights, in the summer it's still somewhat bright at nine o'clock.

BRossano23
I go to GReat Adventure every year (sometimes multiple times). But, I've never been to Hurricane Harbor. Is it any good compared to other water parks?
The Master
It has nice slides and themed well, but it is understaffed and not operated as well as GADV or other waterparks.
acq10uaz
I go to GReat Adventure every year (sometimes multiple times). But, I've never been to Hurricane Harbor. Is it any good compared to other water parks? When it first opened it was excellent. But over the years... some could argue that it has been neglected. There are a ton of water parks out there that are better than how Hurricane Harbor is now.

That's what I have believed and pretty much why I haven't made much of an effort to go there.
