GAcoaster
I just posted a bunch of pictures from the Magic Kingdom today. With the president visiting they had Main Street USA closed off until about 2:15 which was an odd sight: To decorate the backstage area they had guests walking through they had a bunch of Main Street vehicles and parade floats on display. Strange to see these during the day: While old Dumbo is coming down, new dumbo looks like its ready to open soon: Lots of work happening for Big Thunder's rehab:
CoasterPete
Thanks for sharing! They did a great job with the backstage walkway with all things considered. Doesn't really look bad at all. Pete

warnerleroy
Ive been behind main street so many times it actually seems odd to see it all 'decorated' as opposed to the utalitarian way it normally is
ThemeParkRider
What kind of work is being done on Big Thunder Mountain? Looks really busy!
GAcoaster
General refurb and they're supposed to be "re-gauging" the track for new trains I think (unless the budget gets cut which often happens to any project). Of course they were supposed to have done the same thing to Space Mountain...

Not really - the Emporium was closed. Crowds were quite light the rest of the day.

The Master
That's not secret service! Those are techs working on the show lighting on the roofs of the buildings in preparation for the president's speech. Real secret service would have MP5s and P90s. The Master
Sad to see Jaws go, the park won't be the same without it. Also that cow in the new golf course looks like it's the one from Twister's queue?
