ReptileGuy
I remember that there used to be like a mini walk through safari type area in the park. It had small things like tortoises and small animals. I think on the map they pictured it as having flamingos. What was this place called and is it still in the park? I beleive it was connected to the sea otter arena area.
Matt Kaiser
You're thinking of Safari Discoveries. It only lasted a few years, it's not open anymore. The sea otters still have shows, though!
ReptileGuy
^yes that was it! Why did they take it out? It was a nice break from the craziness of a day at the park. And why is it still on the maps, just not labeled.
29yrswithaGApass
The majority of animals from Safari Discoveries were moved to the Camp Aventura stop on the Safari Off Road Adventure tours in 2013. The buildings and general layout still exist and are visible from the outside to guests so that is why it is still on the maps unlabeled. ReptileGuy
So can you still walk i that area, or is it closed off?
jdc12192
You can walk up to the pool area. Nothing past that since there is nothing to see. You now have to walk all the way around through the boardwalk.
jonlee
It was a nice path from Kingda Ka to El Toro. I get mad eveytime I see this path closed. Just like the old paintball building blocking Dream Street.
