Six Flags Great Adventure Announces June Events

 

CYBORG Cyber Spin – Coming Soon!

Six Flags Great Adventure’s new, extreme, gyroscope-style thrill ride, CYBORG Cyber Spin,

the first of its kind anywhere in the world and the first ride themed to the DC Super Hero CYBORG, will debut soon. The park will announce exclusive preview events and grand opening in the coming weeks. CYBORG Cyber Spin features a unique, futuristic, triple box design that allows the gondola to spin around three separate axes while rotating forward, backwards and sideways simultaneously at up to 70 feet in the air.

 

Paint the Park Pink – June 2

Join Six Flags and the Susan G. Komen foundation in Paint the Park Pink on June 2. Guests who wear pink and receive a surprise gift from the Komen table near the fountain. NJ 101.5 will make an appearance and host a scavenger hunt throughout Six Flags. Guests can sign up at the Komen table to participate in the hunt and receive information about Komen’s 25th anniversary fall walk. Use promo code PINK for discounted theme park or waterpark tickets.

 

MIKE AND IKE® Game Zone Weekend – June 2 & 3

Basketball lovers are invited to participate in the MIKE AND IKE® 3 Point Challenge Game June 2 and 3. The first eight guests who check in at the 3 Point Challenge Game at 11 a.m. on Saturday andSunday can sign up to compete in a tournament bracket. Guests who purchase any two theater boxes of MIKE AND IKE® at a participating in-park retail location will receive a voucher for one complimentary play of the 3 Point Challenge Game. Until June 29, guests will also receive one coupon for $5 off the 3 Point Challenge Game with the purchase of two theater boxes.

 

Elite Turner Car Show – June 3

SWITCHFOOT in Concert – June 9

Six Flags presents SWITCHFOOT in concert Saturday, June 9 as part of the MIKE AND IKE® Summer Concert Series. SWITCHFOOT established itself as a world-class live act with a series of sold-out world tours, while maintaining an impressive number of radio hits, including "Meant to Live," "Dare You to Move," "Stars" and "Mess of Me." The show will take place at the Northern Star Arena at7:30pm. Admission to the concert is free with park admission, Season Pass or active Membership.

 

Medieval Times Knight Demonstration – June 9

Join Medieval Times at Six Flags Great Adventure on Main Street Saturday, June 9. Two knights, a queen, and a chancellor will host Q & A sessions, photo opportunities and giveaways from 10:30 a.m. through 5 p.m. A live duel between the knights will take place around 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. These opportunities are included with park admission, Season Pass or active Membership.

 

Wrestle & Ride – June 16

Six Flags will host Wrestle & Ride Saturday, June 16. The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Movietown Arena. Before the show, guests will have the opportunity for a photo/autograph with legendary wrestlers Rey Mysterio, Mick Foley, Jerry “The King” Lawler, and Billy Gunn for an additional fee from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Guests also have the opportunity for upgraded ringside seats on a first-come, first-serve basis. Combo tickets are available including ringside seating, plus an autograph from all four wrestlers for $100. Food trucks will be available outside the Movietown Arena. General admission bleacher seating is free with park admission, Season Pass or active Membership.

 

Father’s Day – June 17

Guests are invited to celebrate Father’s Day at Six Flags June 17. Dads can enjoy world-class roller coasters such as SUPERMAN™ Ultimate Flight, El Toro and Nitro, and accompany their family on the Safari Off Road Adventure. Fathers can enjoy their day with treats such as funnel cake and churros in addition to music, entertainment and shopping.

 

Why Don’t We in Concert – June 20

Coca-Cola® presents Why Don’t We in concert with special guest Elle Winter at Six Flags on Wednesday, June 20 at 6:30 p.m. Why Don’t We has released three EPs, their 2016 debut Only The Beginning and this year’s Something Different and Why Don’t We Just – the latter peaking at No. 1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artist chart and No. 2 on its Heatseekers and Next Big Sound charts. Elle Winter is a singer, songwriter, actress, and social media star known for her appearance on Radio Disney’s reality competition Next Big Thing. Concert will take place at the Northern Star Arena. Discounted theme park tickets will be available for purchase. Admission to the concert is free with park admission, Season Pass or active Membership

 

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Open Daily – June 22

Beginning June 22, guests can enjoy Hurricane Harbor’s tropical oasis daily. The 45-acre, elaborately-themed water park is one of America’s largest, and features a million-gallon wave pool, one of the country’s longest “lazy rivers,” two family water playgrounds and more than 25 high-speed thrill slides.

 

School’s Out Job Fair – June 23 & 24

Six Flags welcomes job seekers for a School’s Out Job Fair June 23 and 24. Employment opportunities are available for entry experience, food services, lifeguards, ride operations, retail and more. Employment benefits include scholarship opportunities, complimentary admission and exclusive employee events. The event will take place at the Employment Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to apply online at www.sixflagsjobs.com before attending.

 

Central Jersey Blood Center Blood Drive – June 24

On Sunday, June 24, Central Jersey Blood Center will host a blood drive in Six Flags Great Adventure’s Employment Center parking lot from 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. Each blood donor will receive one theme park ticket valid for the 2018 season. For the best possible donation experience, appointments are strongly encouraged online or via phone at 888-71-BLOOD. Walk-in donors will be placed into available appointment times on the schedule.

 

Fright Fest Dance Auditions in New York City – June 26

Great Adventure’s iconic show “Dead Man’s Party” is looking for exceptional dancers trained in jazz, musical theater, hip-hop and partnering. An open casting call for the 20th anniversary production will take place on Tuesday, June 26 at 9:30 a.m. Dancers are encouraged to bring a variety of dance shoes, ready to learn choreography and freestyle with zombie spirit. Auditions will be hosted by Six Flags and choreographer Theresa Stone at Brickhouse NYC at 156 W 44th Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10036. It looks like there is a good variety of different types of events for June. When I saw Fright Fest auditions, it was a reminder of how fast it will be that time of year again, 3 1/2 months until the event starts.
