For categories where a voter selected "N/A - I don't have an opinion on this category," the results are based upon those votes actually cast for the given nominees.

 

The 2019 Warner Awards Results

 

Thank you to everyone who voted in our 2019 GreatAdventureHistory.com Warner Awards. There were many categories where the voting was very close. Here are the 2019 winners!

 

New for 2019 Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth the won the Best Ride (Non Roller Coaster) award with 42% of the votes. Zumanjaro Drop of Doom remained in second place this year with 19% of the votes. Justice League Battle for Metropolis dropped from first place last year to third place this year with 14% of the votes.

 

El Toro and Nitro again finished with the first and second place awards for the twelfth straight awards in a row in the Best Roller Coaster category. El Toro had 53% of the votes and Nitro had 33% of the votes. Bizarro finished third with 8% of the votes.

 

Dare Devil Dive won Best Upcharge Ride or Attraction with 52%, Sling Shot and Great American Road Race tied each with 22%.

 

Great Adventure's Best Remaining Original Attraction from 1974 had the same top 3 rankings as last year. Log Flume finished first with 44% and Sky Ride finished second with 25% and Runaway Mine Train finished third with 17%.

 

For the second awards in a row, Justice League: Battle for Metropolis took first place in Best Themed Attraction with 64% of the votes followed by Houdini's Great Escape with 19% and Safari Off Road Adventure with 14%.

 

Bizarro's themed sign was again the top winner for the tenth consecutive awards in the Best Attraction Sign category with 47% of the votes. Kingda Ka remained in second with 22%. Cyborg Cyber Spin also remained in third place with 14%.

 

Nitro won Best Attraction to Ride at Night again with 55% of the votes. Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth got second place with 19% of the votes and Bizarro got third place with 8% of the votes.

 

Best Children's Ride was won by Road Runner Railway for the sixth awards in a row with 70% of the votes. Bugaboo and Wile E Coyote Canyon Blaster tied for second place each with 13% of the votes.

 

The winner of the Best Themed Section had a repeat winner this year with Plaza del Carnaval getting 35% of the votes. The Golden Kingdom remained in second again with 21% of the votes. Movie Town took third place with 18% of the votes.

 

Sea Lion Presentations won the Best Show category with 79% of the votes. Block Party was second with 16% of the votes and Six Flags Dance Party was third with 5% of the votes.

 

The winner of Best Event was once again Holiday in the Park getting an impressive 83% of the votes. Fright Fest got 14% and the Independence Day Celebration got 3%.

 

Dead Man's Party retook first place after dropping to a third place tie last year and won Best Fright Fest Attraction with 35% of the votes. Unleashed remained in second place with 25% of the votes. Big Top Terror: Forgotten Carnival 3D remained in third place had 20% of the votes.

 

Great Adventure continues to impress with decorating the park for Holiday in the Park and for Best Holiday in the Park Attraction All the decorations won this category with 47% of the votes. A Celebration of the Season (Christmas Tree Show) and Christmas Shows tied for second place each with 16% of the votes.

 

Polar Point with the decorative blue lights was chosen as Best Holiday in the Park Section with 66% of the votes. A Main Street Christmas with the festive food offerings and decorative lights finished second with 9% of the votes and Gingerbread Junction finished in third place with 6%.

 

In a category where the most popular choices were only separated by a few votes, Best of the West and Granny's Country Kitchen tied for the win in Best Restaurant Food (with indoor seating) with each getting 21% of the votes. Mamma Flora's Cucina and new for 2019 Chop Six and tied for third place each getting 15% of the votes.

 

Johnny Rocket's (near Fountain) got the most votes for Best Food/Snack Stand with 26% of the votes. Last year's winner Macho Nacho (near El Toro) dropped to second place with 23% of the votes. For third place, G.A. Cafe and Metro Grill tied with each getting 16% of the votes.

 

Johnny Rockets (55%) remained in first place for yet another awards in Best Name Brand Food. Rita's Ice Custard (38%) remained in second place and Icee (7%) took third place.

 

Granny's Country Kitchen and Macho Nacho tied for first place in Best Season Pass Dining Plan Facility each getting 19% of the votes. Last year's winner Best of the West dropped to third place getting 16% of the votes.

 

Best Games Facility had a new winner this year with Studio 28 Arcade moving from second place to first place with 50%. Last year's winner, Boardwalk Games moved from first place to second place with 29% and the Dream Street Arcade remained in third with 21%.

 

Three Point Challenge finished first in Best Game of Skill again by with 61%, followed by Ladder Climb with 39%. Those were the only 2 choices to get votes and there was no third place winner.

 

The results for Best Shop were Main Street Market winning (62%), the Looney Tunes Shoppe taking second (14%) and there was a tie for third with Coasters Candy and Discovery Gifts (10% each).

Last year's second place winner, Taak It Eez Ee Creek moved up to first place in the Best Hurricane Harbor Attraction category getting 33% of the votes. Big Wave Racer moved up from third place to second place getting 26% of the votes and The Falls dropped from first place last year to third place this year getting 22% of the votes.

Wild Plains won the Best Safari Off Road Adventure Attraction award again with 24%. Afrikka and Black Bear Ridge tied for second place with 16% each.

 

Wonder Woman Lasso of Truth was the clear favorite for Best New Feature or Improvement for 2019 winning the category with 68% of the votes. Wild Walkway finished second with 12% of the votes. Member Pins and Solar Panels tied for third place each with 9% of the votes.

Most Like to See in 2021 was another category that had a new winner. New Children's Area won with 25%. The previous winner, Coaster - Wooden (Family/Classic) Style narrowly missed winning again and dropped to second place with 22%. Water Ride took third place with 11%.

Main Street Market ranked highest again.  I think what makes this store stand out is that it has the least amount of Super Hero merchandise and most park related stuff.  More stores should be like that.
