GAcoaster
From MyFoxDC: (Click the link for photos and video) Fire Destroys Haunted House at Six Flags Theme Park BOWIE, Md. – Fire sparked Wednesday evening at Six Flags Theme Park, all but destroying a building that is used as a haunted house during the Halloween season. No one was hurt. Park officials say the blaze started just before 7 p.m., and the park was open at the time. They say the haunted house was closed when the fire sparked, but it is still used as an attraction for guests who attend 'Fright Fest' during the Halloween season. Park officials say it had lots of nooks and crannies which helped to fuel the flames. About 60 firefighters from Prince George's County were called to the scene to help put out the blaze, and about 1,000 patrons were evacuated from the park. According to park officials, the evacuation was orderly and those who had to leave were given passes to come back again any time between now and October. SkyFox flew over the scene around 7:15 p.m. when firefighters were still working to douse the flames. The view from above the scene showed a good portion of the roof of the building had collapsed, and much of the remaining debris was still smoldering. Park officials say the building is likely a total loss, but the park will open at its regularly-scheduled time of 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Thunderbolt
Six Flags America can't catch a break! It's not unlike Great Adventure during the Westray era. Thankfully, nobody was injured.
Upallnite
Fire Sprinklers . In this day and age there is no reason at all not to have them. Lucky nobody was in there but I bet a whole lot of people are going to miss it as much as we miss ours. Fire sprinklers saves lives and property . Believe it.
