Great Adventurer
Given the reports Frontier Adventures recently being closed on both sides, I decided to start my Saturday trip to the park with a visit to the Safari Base Camp. The Safari: The Safari drive-in entrance now directs guests to the parking area at the base of Kingda Ka, just outside the gate enveloping the Zumanjaro queue line. Incoming guests enjoyed a close-up look at a Barn Owl courtesy of a friendly employee. This Dazzle of Zebras delighted the guests on board the trucks! The Glamping area continues to come together. A preview of what's to come. Reptiles were on display at the Base Camp area. The Park: The Flash being vertical was immediately apparent from the park entrance. Look who's here for the 50th! This battalion of cranes and construction vehicles is raring to go. The coaster is shaping up to look very nice behind Cyborg. A rebranding of Chiller's iconic observatory. The Movietown concession area has gotten a nice makeover. Green Lantern (and Skull Mountain, not pictured) were both operational ahead of schedule. This name is always nice to see. It looks like the tarps aren't just for 50th anniversary rides. The wooden barrier that covered the Saw X terror trail entrance in 2023 has a cool silhouette of the Great Adventure skyline on it now. I don't think this picture does it justice; it is VERY nice in person. Edited May 5 by Great Adventurer

The Master
Have they improved ride operations or are they still running mostly single trains?
Great Adventurer
Things were interesting from an operations perspective. I can't confirm since I didn't see it itself, but somebody I chatted with in line for El Toro (single train) claimed that only one train was running on Jersey Devil, while Nitro was either running 2 or all 3 of them. Green Lantern had 9 (!) employees working in the station. 5 were by the operator booth, so I'd imagine some sort of training was involved. Both it and Superman had one train apiece. Safari Trucks were constant from the dedicated Base Camp area, there were a lot of cars parked in the lot but the queue didn't snake at all. Kingda Ka was once again tremendously efficient with 2 trains. Even with intermittent rain, they were able to get a lot of launches on the whole. Green Lantern was by far my longest wait of the day, close to an hour with the queue winding to the former single rider line entrance. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like that line will ever make a comeback, as the sign for it has been removed. With the exception of the 3 mentioned in the Misc GA Mumblings thread, all of the flat rides including Justice League were running too.
The Master
It is very disappointing that the park is still operating single trains on most of the running coasters, especially Jersey Devil having single seat rows. That is on top of the disappointment of so many closed rides. I only visited the park 3 times this season and I can't say I had a good time in any of those trips due to thd poor operations. Spent most of my time in thd park just walking and looking for something to do that didn't have a 30+ minute wait which made all e visits feel like wastes of time. I have not ridden thd safari trucks yet so I probablyly will visit at least once more for those. Good to hear they are running thd trucks better than most of the other attractions. Not sure if I would even bother going into the park afterwards.
nbadude44
I'm surprised they changed the lion on Main Street already. For comparison: here's the other lion from April
GAcoaster
I assume the current lion (reproduction of the sign) was just delayed and that one was a placeholder.
Great Adventurer
It looks like the new lion got his pennant pretty quickly too! (Photo credit: NewJerseyCoasters)
