  1. Mind Eraser at Darien Lake is getting new trains and re-open next year. It's good to see they are getting 2 trains as I have heard other than Tantrum, most or all coasters run 1 train. https://old.reddit.com/r/rollercoasters/comments/1cuf1uw/mind_eraser_darien_lake_is_getting_new_trains_for/
  2. Lightning Falls and Cascade look like they are being removed. It will be interesting to see what it will be replaced with. Other than the Snake Pit drop box slides and AquaRacer, Wildwater Kingdom doesn't really have too many modern or non traditional slides that a lot of other water parks have like a bowl slide, tornado or a slide with uphill sections.
  3. Update from Thursday. It looks like they are working on the station building. The previews and Passport to Thrills event have been moved from May to June. There is also a wall up heading into the Tree Top Trails area of Jungala.
  4. My first visit to the park was not for a few years until after this tragedy so I don't have any memories of it but it's very upsetting to think something like this could happen. I did watch that film on YouTube more to see what the attraction was like with their virtual renderings of some of the layout of the castle because almost all pictures online are just of the exterior.
  5. If this is true, that is a real disappointment. It reminds me of the Red Zone days when Tango, Houdini and other rides were left SBNO.
  6. Agree 100% especially when it’s during a family friendly show like a sporting event.
  7. Those were my go to slides when the water park was crowded. It seemed like those slides rarely had much of a wait compared to other slides.
  8. https://news.thesunontheweb.com/articles/from-singing-to-screamin/ I put this in rumors as it hasn't been announced by the park yet. This should be a good addition as Hershey doesn't have too many thrilling flat rides. I also wonder if it will be run like Serengeti Flyer where part of the day it's on a milder mode that doesn't go as up as high as the regular mode.
  9. Most (or all?) of the track looks like it is in place. I couldn't get the best view because the Skyride was closed. They got a lot done in 19 days since I was last there. It also looks like Pass Member previews will be next month according to the rewards page on the website. '
  10. It looks like Top Thrill 2 will have the same policy as some of the coasters at Great Adventure. https://www.cedarpoint.com/rides-experiences/top-thrill-2 "NOTE: Loose articles are not permitted past entrance. They may either be left with a non-rider or be placed in lockers for storage. NOTE: Glasses may only be worn on this attraction if they are secured with an athletic strap. Glasses may not be held in the hands of riders while riding. NOTE: Loose fitting shoes without a strap or back are not permitted past entrance. WARNING: This ride requires Guests to pass through metal detection prior to being allowed to enter the line. "
  11. Test Track is closing June 17th for a re-theme: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/epcot/test-track/ I'm hoping the new theme will be better and more like the original. It's still my favorite ride at Epcot but I don't like the current version as much with the blue lights everywhere and not much else.
  12. Yesterday I went to Typhoon Lagoon and SeaWorld. I am in the middle of a 3 week blockout on my Disney World Annual Pass but it does not apply to the water parks. I don't think I'd want to go to the main theme parks anyway with it being Easter week and long wait times. Typhoon Lagoon was not crowded at all, I waited 5 - 10 minutes for almost everything. I prefer Blizzard Beach as Typhoon Lagoon has more slides you can't ride as a single rider like the 2 family raft slides and 2 out of 3 Crush N Gusher slides but the other slides are fun. Mayday Falls would be my favorite slide if not for the rough bumps all over the slide that I guess are supposed to be like rapids. SeaWorld had moderate crowds. With free Quick Queue Unlimited after 4 p.m., I was able to skip most of the lines. It's amazing to me they are offering that perk during a busy time of the year. In addition this month there is a free keychain, free food item at the Food and Wine Festival and a free 5th Anniversary Sesame Street Land plate. I have said it before but SEAS treats their pass holders extremely well and there are so many free items and rewards each month. Journey To Atlantis was a 50 minute wait, 10 minutes with Quick Queue. This is my current favorite water ride and it's always fun seeing how people react to the surprise roller coaster drop at the end of the ride. I rode twice and then went to Kraken. After Kraken I went to Mako for 3 rides. This was a 1 - 2 train wait even without Quick Queue. Mako is still my favorite ride in Florida. I still can't decide if I like Mako or Nitro better but they are both excellent. Ice Breaker was running 1 train with a posted 70 minute wait. The Quick Queue Unlimited didn't work here so I used my Platinum Quick Queue 1 ride pass. Ice Breaker is fun but I'm not the biggest fan of going backwards with the swing launch. New 60th Anniversary Sign The last 2 construction pictures were from 2 weeks ago. I'm really looking forward to Penguin Trek as there really isn't a family coaster in the park except Journey To Atlantis and sometimes I like to take a break from the more thrilling coasters.
  13. I remember Platinum Flash Pass also used to give double rides. At least that was really limited.
