I'm just baffled by it all. They've made such strides in customer service in recent years that you think someone would realize how bad this is and prevent it from happening.
I get sicker and sicker every time I read a new take on this. I feel for Angel who has to preach about "efficiency" i.e. firing some people and paying the rest less, when I'm sure she knows just what BS it all is.

In a predictable move, the Temple of the Tiger page has been removed from the site. The info bar in the Entertainment listing is still there, but if you click it you get an error message.
EDIT: It might be an interesting experiment to call the park and say you're interested in the Trainer for a Day package with the tigers, then see what happens.
Some guy posted this on their facebook:
William David Kuehne I love FrightFest, but it won't be the same without Temple of the Tiger's "Aliens vs. Predators" presentation. They closed Temple of the Tiger and fired all of the Tiger trainers! Lousy way for new President John Fitzgerald to begin his tenure. What a cruel and heartless thing he has done.
Sounds reputable to me. Sad stuff
Yeah, for the record, Len, not Mark was the GM of Gadv. Perhaps he would have been a better choice for the PP position over the Freestyle Music Park guy.
WHAT ARE YOU, A SOCIALIST NAZI FROM KENYA?? How could you think that employees deserve to have health insurance? There are super-rich people who need the money that that would cost, gosh....
^On the other hand, our tiger show remained popular years after its inception. It's unique, and, with a good host, has got a quality level close to something you'd see at a BEC park, which is amazing. I'd much rather lose the dolphins than the tigers.
Looks like the Fright Fest decorations are going to end up being a lot better and more thorough than last year's.
Also, I wonder why they're not using any superhero imagery or logos to promote the new coaster. They've clearly got the rights if they released Green Lantern as the ride's name.
Surprised to hear that. I always figured that the dolphins and the tigers were the cheapest shows to put on since they already need trainers around to care for the animals whether or not they're putting on a show (and, more realistically, since they always ran through the whole season). I also think that the tiger show is about 1000x better than the dolphin one, so I hope this isn't a harbinger of bad things to come for it.
I find the sound control in the park to be very poor. Things like that happen all the time, and nobody seems to notice or fix it. Not to mention that volume in many areas--queues, shows, park music, even ride op speils--tends to be too loud too often.
I don't think they could add ANY show that would realistically bring more people into the park, but a good show that's well advertised and well attended could improve the experience of many guests and significantly increase the likelihood of their visiting again. Unfortunately SFI (or SFEC, ha) doesn't seem to think like this, and is generally focused on additions with definite positive ROI.
I agree. SF America has a Pirate Stunt show (that's actually less cheesy than the Batman ones and pretty popular) and on some days they substitute the show with a stunt demonstration, which people seem to really like. I think that's a better tone with which to deliver stunts.
