  1. So according to the updates from this weekend, Hurricane Harbor has a season pass coupon book for the first time ever. I know that there's at least one bring a friend free coupon because it was advertised on the website, but what else is in it?
  2. This ride looks so cool. I'm dying to experience the preshow and such. I love rides with stories, so I can't even imagine going through a 10 minute preshow. And the queue looks so immersive, so detailed, and just generally great!
  3. Mamma Flora's Cucina? Not sure if it used to have a different name.
  4. Upcharge helicopter ride during the Premier days. But Flyin Phil has that market cornered!
  5. ^ It was a good move to get rid of those fences, but it's a shame they aren't still using those beautiful, appropriately themed umbrellas.
  6. Did they get rid of that rickshaw across from the tigers?
  7. The show schedules at the park say Movietown, so they'll probably be either in the Batman arena or over past Dark Knight.
  8. ^ What kind(s) did you have? I was dying to try one but we were in a hurry so I only got a cookie (which was superb too).
  9. I'm also curious why all the boats still haven't been added. I know it's early in the season, but why not operate at full capacity from day one (especially when it requires nothing more from the employees working the ride)? Perhaps it's simply because they haven't had the time to bring the extra boats over, but it seems like with the forecasts for last Saturday and Sunday the park should have made it a priority.
  10. ^ I'm still convinced that they could charge to experience rollbacks if there was some way to ensure one happening. I'd pay!
  11. ^ My friend was on it. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR
  12. The entire covered queue. I don't see how it could have been any less than 90 minutes, the way things were moving. (Nor do I see how they could ever really use those outside switchbacks, given the condition they're in. Does it ever really come to that?) Also, are there actually fewer boats this year, or have they just not added all of them on yet?
  13. Sorry for the double post, but it's a completely different topic that is certainly a "Misc GA Mumbling." Basically, the food at the Cyber Cafe is awesome! Granted, I only got a cookie, but it was enormous, fresh, and tasted divine. Not a bad deal for 2.99 given its quality and size. Plus while I was in there I saw crepes, which looked amazing, and the donuts, which also looked delicious. I also really like the vibe they created, with the homemade feel of all the food (not sure what's in fact made on site) and the old-fashioned uniforms for the employees.
  14. There were lots of huge gaps on Saturday, which was a shame since the line looked to be over an hour and a half long. The entire queue was full and evil Flash Pass users (like me) were getting on every fourth log or so. Also, they were doing one group per log, which I don't think should be the policy with a line that long. My one friend and I got to ride alone, which was enjoyable, but probably not the right way to run the thing.
  15. Yesterday I noticed that everyone was doing legit visual scans, except one operator on the Buccaneer, which was good.
  16. ^ Do you know if they ever opened on Saturday? I saw some tests going on.
  17. I believe they were Nitro and Superman: Ultimate Flight. I shelled out too much money for that game a few seasons ago. . . .
  18. ^ You have to admit it's true. From day 1 there were barely any hiccups, from the ropes being placed to the lights going off to the parade itself, and that can't be said for any other aspect of the park's operations that I can think of. I'm glad it's so well executed; I'm just curious as to why it ended up that way.
  19. ^ That is so cool. Why is this parade thought out 1000x better than every other aspect of SF's operations? Does it have to do with Gary Goddard, or do they just devote more time and energy to it than to anything else?
  20. . . . But often times it doesn't mean much of anything. When I rode Runaway Mine Train on my last visit, the operator was looking right at the people in the row in front of me holding out a camera to film the ride, and he didn't do anything, even though he said his visual scan was all clear.

^ I thought it was converted into Joker's Jukebox at SFNO. I guess I was wrong?
  22. I'm curious about what's in the box in the back. I know it has to do with the sound system, but is it a computer? Wiring? Or something else?
  23. Yeah, they poured concrete for it a while ago and have been building a frame around it recently.
