You guys have to keep in mind, even if the park is allowed to open on X date, it could be pushed back due to hiring, training etc. training only started right before the closure so there are a ton of employees that still have steps to do before being sent out in the park to work.
Lots of behind the scenes things have to be done in order to be open and functioning

It’s not official until the park says so.

Drove by the lake today and the first Airtime hill is 1/2 complete. The ride seems to be going up quick!

So I've read stories about people being ride ops and having fun, and I would like to be one at GAdv. I'll pay attention and be responsible since I love roller coasters and flat rides, and I have autism, which means repetition is easy for me. My gimmick is going to be giving DC Comics factoids before sending people off on the rides with DC themes. Safety is my top priority.
However, due to the whole coronavirus thing, I'm not so sure when the park will open for this year or if they will hire me. I hope this will blow over and they'll hire me.
Park opening is TBD. Everything you see or read is just each individuals opinion. If you haven’t applied yet feel free to apply and they will reach out as soon as they can.

It looks awesome..... I just hope it doesn’t block the view too much from the front row rider.

They typically start in and work their way out. So, first they ask employees, maybe close friends/family of employees, then reach out to ACE and other friends of the park. If they need more people than that, they'll start to share the invite to a wider audience. I know other SF parks will post the casting invite to their Facebook, but I've never seen Great Adventure do that. You mostly have to know someone or be in a club that gets the invite.
I've attended several shoots for Zumanjaro, Holiday in the Park, and El Diablo (and have been invited to almost all since then). For Zumanjaro, only employees could ride due to not having state approval at that time. A bunch of ACE members rode Kingda Ka during the shoot (myself included).
Basically what Matt said. It starts internally and goes from there. Majority of the people you see in the videos are employees or employees families. I’ve done/been in Zumanjaro, skull mountain vr, joker, cyborg, and wonderman. Majority of it all being employees with the occasional outside casted people from a casting agency.

Anyone else hoping maybe rmc changes /adds a element? It’s been reported they enjoy changing something here and there after animations are made.

While its great to have another pool coming, I feel we desperately need a new slide complex (or two)!

Thank you guys!

I remembered when joker opened we filmed a ‘winter’ commercial but it was never used. Only ads I’ve seen are Facebook and Instagram.

Congrats yoshi! Thanks for everything you do for the site!

Why does Great Adventure continue to be a revolving door when it comes to general managers?
One persons decision caused a whole snowball effect for the whole company. I don't think its necessarily related to our park.

Can't say I'm thrilled with this because I probably will never ride this, or just ONE AND ONE TIME ONLY(and vomit right after) but hey, it's something. Overall most of the additions this year seem underwhelming. Maybe saving up for a big year next year?

Yeah, they announced the closing on FB and Twitter about 15-30 minutes beforehand yesterday.
Also, are you sure it's a season pass? Last time I heard, employees don't get a free season pass until they've been at the park for 10 years. Most employees just get day tickets and a bring-a-friend pass that the employee must be with you to use. So unless the friend won it or got it through non-customary measures, it seems a little fishy to me.
It's now a lower number of years. I forget exactly but maybe 5? They also give the option of a season pass, or 3 extra tickets.

you camp out at camp adventura!do you actually bring a tent and pitch it? Where exactly do they set you up?

Beat my top score today. Got 193,296. Also think I found one of the 'hidden' targets, but not sure how many points they give.

Where did you see these signs? Queue area?
They're in the '3 or more' queue. I don't think the 1-2 people line has them.

Best so far was 153,800

These shows sometimes take over a year from filming to airing.
I didn't watch the episode, but I see in your photos that El Diablo isn't even constructed yet in the aerial shots. At least those aerial shots are from very early 2015 or before. Those could be the shots provided by the park from when Zumanjaro opened, though.
I think they might be. Someone told me I was on the show, but I never filmed anything for them so I'm guessing they are using six flags/the parks footage taken from the helicopter and whatnot.

I don't have this channel so I was pretty bummed that I couldn't watch it. I've also been trying to find it online and can't

As always, great pictures. The blue on the JL Building is even better and brighter in person, I personally love the color.

Looks like Justice League Battle for Metropolis will be done in next week, so three weeks left is the ride will be opening soon! I expecting more picture update on the ride this weekend and next week!
You should be thankful for what you get, and not 'expect' anything from Harry or anyone else on the site.

Don't ya think we might get RMC T-Rex or Thrill Ride Package next year?
Oh god not the T-rex speculation/rumors again. Those who have been on the site a while know why i say this

I wish the state would get unemployment under control. Heading into week 5 of no income and it’s starting to become a struggle.
