  1. This year I only went to one concert at the park. In the past they used to have so many good shows, it was hard to decide which ones to see. With the concerts that they had the past couple years, it seems they are trying to attract a different crowd than they used to.

I feel the same. It seems that recently they've been bringing in acts that attract families/young kids and to be honest, it does seem to bring in more people so i guess its working to an extent.

  2. The park recently made the event on their Facebook page, along with the SF site--

Grab Your Last Coaster of 2016!

Join us for Holiday in the Park from 1-9 p.m. on New Year's Eve! Take a ride on Nitro, BATMAN: The Ride or SUPERMAN - Ultimate Flight to ramp up your excitement for the new year.

Grab your last glimpse of holiday lights for the year with over a million twinkling bulbs throughout the park. Plus, those favorite holiday treats haven't disappeared just yet. Warm up to the idea of your New Year's resolutions by the fire pits while toasting some s'mores.

The night will end with a magical fireworks display in A Main Street Christmas at 9 p.m., a sight that is not to be missed!

After heading out to ring in the New Year, you can join us for your first ride of 2017 on New Year's Day from 1-9 p.m.

The best way to visit during Holiday in the Park and all of 2017 is with a season pass.

  3. This is a major fail for the park pr wise. They have a set limit for the amount of couples for the record. Lots of unhappy people on line now. I don't complain about the park much but this is just silly. They should have announced the amount of couples in advance that they needed if there was a limit. Now they have people waiting in a line that are going to be unhappy. Silly when this could have been easily avoided.

I believe it had to do with the amount of 'witnesses' they had.

Matt stated elsewhere Guinness requires 1 witness per X participants. We probably only had X number of witnesses which only allowed the X amount of couples.
