  1. I really wish I could go today to ride it one last time, but looks like those chances are slim, guess my last ride was on September 4th, 2013.
  2. Other Six Flags have old woodies. What about SFNE with Thunderbolt from 1941, SFA has The Wild One from 1986, SFMM has Colossus from 1978, SFOG has The Great American Scream Machine from 1973, and I'm sure there are others, so Six Flags does have old wooden coasters at other parks
  3. It wouldn't be open if it wasn't safe, there has not been an incident on the ride since 1981, it really isn't even that rough of a ride. I disagree with the park saying low ridership, because it does get a lot of riders.
  4. I don't think ill be able to get the the park this weekend, guess last Friday was my last ride on it......
  5. Well, it almost has 500 supporters, not nearly enough, but a decent amount. If only it had 5000...
  6. I though it was season pass day too, but after calling a few days ago I found out it was for Muslims. Anyone know why they don't have something for season pass holders in the fall?
  7. If they can't, i'm sure they will put ads in the queue.
  8. I wonder if they will put any ads at Zumanjaro.
  9. Not all the ads are bad. Call me crazy, but I actually like the ad wraps on the El Toro train, but that it just my opinion. But if that is how they want to make some money, than let them, even if it looks bad. I don't wanna get off topic, but Cedar Point (actually I think cedar fair itself) doesn't have any ads on their coasters, just though I would point that out
  10. HAHAHAHAHAHA, oh man I found that funnier than it should have been.
  11. Went on rolling thunder today, possibly my last time ever.
  12. Of course they will still have Zumanjaro, how do we even know Rolling Thunder will interfere with the line too much anyway?

    9/4/13

So since I go back to school tomorrow, I thought it would be nice to go to the park today. It was my 10th visit of the year. (unfortunately I haven't been able to go as much as I wanted this year)Got there around 12:30, and the parking lot looked pretty empty. We get in and head right for Kingda Ka, since it has been a while since I had gone on it. The line was in the station and took about 5 minutes. After KK, we decided to go on Superman, and the line was actually pretty long for how the rest of the park was. After waiting about 25 minutes, we got on. After the ride was over, we had been waiting about 5 minutes before the station when they announce technical difficulties. After being stuck in the flying position for about 20 minutes, they had to manually unlock the train to get us off. They made us sign a thing to ensure we were ok and. We also received a skip the line pass to use for any ride. I'll get back to that later. We then had lunch. Next we went over to El Toro, which had a pretty short line, waited about 15 minutes, and as always, we went in the back row. After El Toro, we went over to Rolling Thunder, since the line was long, we used the skip the line pass and, I actually felt that it wasn't as bumpy today, and it made me even more upset it was leaving, hopefully I can go on it one more time this weekend. Next, we went to Bizarro which had a short line, waited about 10 minutes. We went over to Nitro which had a short line, and got on it in about 15 minutes (for front row). After Nitro we went to Batman which also had a short line, so we went on front row in about 5 minutes. To end the day, we went on Nitro once again, and the line was even shorter cause it was down to take a train off, because it wasn't crowded enough to operate three. Sorry but I have no pictures from the trip.
  14. Exactly, I honestly can't think of a park right now that doesn't, well in less than a week i'll be able to...
  15. It does need a coaster that isn't for little kids, but not too big where only thrill seekers will go on it, RT is right in the middle.
  16. I know I was part of getting off topic, but I agree that if we should talk about Zumanjaro, if we want to talk about something else, make a new topic for it. I'll get back on track. Anyone have any ideas of where the line will be? I know it is just an animation, but from the looks of the pictures on page 1 it appears that the entrance to the ride may start to the side and it will not need to go under the launch track, but again, it is just an animation and does not claim the real thing.
  17. I just noticed that we start the earliest for fright fest. Anyone know why we start weeks before everyone else?
  18. As much as I would love to sign it, which I will, I know that it isn't doing anything. You could get 1,000,000 people to sign it, but it wouldn't matter, it is already decided that it is going. There is nothing we can do about it.
  19. You got that right that if it is a theme park, it isn't a good one. It shouldn't even be called a theme park since when you go you will not see very well theme to it. To me though, it is more of an amusement park. It has the rides to be called an amusement park, but the theming is not good. So if it were to be a theme park, it is not a good one.
  20. I do have to agree with IgetAround that it isn't really lacking too much. Shows, yes, they are lacking, they could use some of those. Dining is fine, they have that, the atmosphere is not bad, it just needs a little work. For IgetAround, I know that adding a new ride will get more guests, but only guests that want to ride it, lots of people that come here do not go on high thrill rides, so what is in it for them? Not much.
  21. You know, you have said that so many times, we get the point. Its a good thing, but were just trying to give ideas and explain how the park could be even better! I know the ride is gonna be awesome. Or will it? How do we know something won't go wrong and we don't get it? What if it isn't so great after all? Slim chance, yes, but possible.
  22. True, which would be the reason why they don't do that. Although I still do think that if a person is going to check out the rides, they should be able to just see the roller coasters, because that is what I do when checking out an amusement park, I don't care too much for the thrill rides, I go for the coasters. While I understand many people don't, I think it would be easier to separate the sections.
  23. Although Safari Discoveries has been closed this year, so it was pretty much back to an Asian theme. Anyway, enough of this, the point we are all trying to make is that the theming of the park is not the greatest, and Zumanjaro does not fit well being placed on Kingda Ka.
  24. Thank you for understanding that it is not Africa! I didn't understand why people told me that the Golden Kingdom was Africa, like I said, Kingda ka is a Bengal Tiger theme, which is Asian.
  25. One thing that I think should be done is separate coasters and thrill rides. There should be a section for just coasters, and another for thrill rides.
