  1. Yeah our lineup is by far the best in the SF chain... even considering Magic Mountain's "don't go 2 years without a new coaster" lineup. I really do think our lineup is far superior to even theirs though.
  2. ^That's correct. I don't have the link but I remember reading it

    9/13/15

I was there as well. I came at around 3:30 and despite the rain it was still very crowded. I waited 2 hours 30 minutes for Kingda Ka, 30 minutes for El Toro, and 15 for Nitro. Also there was some night-time ERT event that I couldn't attend because you needed some yellow wristband that none of the employees knew how to get. It kinda pissed me off but whatever. It was a so-so visit altogether. Definitely not the most crowded day I've seen all year
  4. I really think this poll is irrelevant. Beginning to think results are bought out rather than actually voted because it's the same winners or same top 5 every single year. You can count on MF or Superman: The Ride being #1 every year, El Toro being close but never number 1, and either CP or Europa Park being #1 park. I wish Mitch Hawker still did his poll, it was far superior and was based on what qualified enthusiasts think
  5. They'd need some heavy trims like Formula Rossa to do anything safe with that speed. Other than that issue I'd be all for it.
  6. IMO September is a great time to go to the park, low crowds and cooler than usual temps (except for early September. Today for example was ridiculously hot)
  7. I'm not sure exactly. What ever happened to Ka's 4th train anyway? Do they keep it for spare parts, and what color is it? KK's blocking allows for 1 more train if they use both stations but maybe since they don't use both anymore they can only run 3
  8. ^Maybe when all the paint chips off they'll announce a retheme to Medusa!
  9. I'm surprised that both of his animations had inaccuracies. Usually that's not the case
  10. ^Though the majority of major coasters there today have outlived the average. Interesting for sure
  11. ^Premier has gotten a lot better at building coasters since Chiller. They've changed their track style, lightened their trains made them comfortable yet minimal, and switched to LSM's which are far less energy consuming and far more reliable than LIM's are, as well as being more powerful. I'd love to see one at the park
  12. You gotta remember though... The only reason CF is able to purchase these enormous coasters is because the majority of the budget goes to one park for the coaster while the rest of it goes to the other parks for tiny additions or perhaps even [nearly] nothing at all. At least with SF's strategy ever park gets something. It's debatable which strategy is better and it's up to you to decide which works more
  13. Nitro was very original at the time, and when you think about it it still technically is unique because the next nearest B&M hyper (I said B&M specifically because Skyrush is a whole 'nother monster altogether) is Apollo's Chariot I believe, which is 5 hours or so away. El Toro is of course unique, but remember that there are a few of the Prefabs overseas. Kingda Ka... yeah, it's extremely similar to TTD, and that's it. Those are the only 2 rides in that category, so it's not really that bad. Plus, they're 9 hours apart. With GL the second half of the layout is far different to Rougarou's, with Rougarou having the more intense and compact second half (NOT a good thing with standup trains) and GL having the more spread out version. Scream and Bizarro are at the opposite ends of the country, plus it's not really too similar to TDK... more elements, different layout, though I see what you're saying. Most B&M layouts/elements are very similar. Even if Gadv got something unique for 2017, I really think some other park would get something similar and it would no longer be that unique.
  14. I think the term you're looking for is a "traditional coaster"
  15. If fabrication started already, it's too late to change anything.
  16. Check out the POV... it looks great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYqwan1slxU
  17. ^I agree with that logic. The next step after bringing back the lakefront is to bring back Old Country, whether it's done in 2017 or 2018
  18. The Joker looks fantastic. It looks packed with airtime, quick transitions, and even some lats, and that first overbank/inversion looks unreal!
  19. Last year's speculation was really something... 109 pages of it, compared to 2015's 23 pages, that's a staggering statistic! I wonder what this year will be like
  20. ^Again, Incredible Hulk's launch system had nothing to do with B&M. It was designed between Universal and a specialized company. I'm fairly certain depending on which state you're in, you can make modifications to the ride.
  21. It's not working for me either. I'm surprised they didn't spring for the larger 10 inversion model for capacity reasons. This year was pretty crowded so I imagine capacity could be an issue next year.
  22. Guys, let's all just watch the announcement tomorrow and pretend to be surprised
  23. I'm surprised to say the least. It actually doesn't look that bad. Notice I'm being extremely vague with my wording... It's definitely real by the way. I see 3DVIP's animating style all over it, including his Kingda Ka animation in the background
  24. I couldn't agree with you more (*cough cough CP announcing Valravn at 9AM on a WEEKDAY *)
  25. I'm perfectly OK with the announcement time. I have to wake up at 6 for school, so waking up 30 minutes or so early shouldn't be a problem
