  1. ^Well yeah, it would have to be, but I don't see how that would be a problem having a steel launch track
  2. ^It's actually very possible, and Im sure Intamin could easily do it- It's just that no one asked them yet. Plus, I don't think they need another hydraulic- unless it's a blitz coaster. THAT would be cool
  3. ^It's possible they could announce it late because they might be getting approval from the state. I think SFMM did that last year
  4. It's so bad there that when the train exits the station you can hear it screeching out. A fresh paint job would make it look as pretty as Behemoth
  5. ^^They have already paid for it, so it's pretty much impossible to change anything. I do agree with you, they should improve the small things. Also, repaint Nitro! That thing has been SCREAMING for a paint job for years
  6. ^^ and ^^^ I agree with you both! Would be amazing! However, I don't think they should remove bizarro because if they put some flats and/or put in season pass parking, it could easily be popular once again. Looking at the park map and satelitte images, They could build it in that empty space between movietown and the entrance and have it go towards nitro, as nitro is colossal and would be easy to go over/under and intertwine. Either way it would have to go in that side of the park Also, it would have to be an I-305 style with the double spine because of 2 reasons, respectively. A. It would have to be compact. B. They would need the double spine to lessen the amount of supports required, because with my concept it would have to maneuver around a lot of stuff. Thats not a bad thing though. Cedar Point has TTD and MF, but MF is not an intensity park coaster, rather being geared towards speed. Great adventure with 2 super intense rides? I would legit go every single day ^^I don't think they would be able to build the underground tunnel. Seeing as the state wouldn't let Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro run at the same time, I don't see even the slightest chance of NJ allowing them to do that. But who knows? The concept is actually very possible, just not likely. The view would rival MF's. I would be fine with waiting an extra year, if it meant an intamin giga. Heck, i would wait another 3 if I had to. It's just that worth it. I hope Six Flags is willing to spend that much money though!
  7. Actually, it depends. I agree with you it would be hard to fit one, especially a B&M as their layouts are spread out and take a lot of space. One of Intamin's talents is making incredible coasters that are compact. For example, I-305 is far more compact than any giga coaster ever built, yet by far the most intense. They can take very limited space and build something amazing. B&M needs some room to do the same thing because they tend to do out and back layouts. I agree that is is very, very unlikely, but nobody even remotely, even slightly ever expected Kingda Ka, so you never know!
  8. LD isn't that bad. My friend went on a ring of fire ride last week, and showed me a video. It's really not that bad. The only thing Im mad about is them marketing it as a coaster, and perhaps not getting Namtab. But they could announce that at a later date
  9. ^True. Plus, im not sure when this was said, but I heard that Six Flags said they would never spend as much as they did on Tatsu ($25 million) again as it simply wasn't worth it for them. That sucks because besides RMCs the only truly spectacular steel rides are in the 20 millions category. I would appreciate it if someone told me if Six Flags really did say that and who in particular. IMO they shouldn't have spent the same amount on a B&M flyer as they did with the tallest and second fastest ride in the world. I wonder what made it cost so much
  10. ^Actually the opposite would happen. It would become a much smoother ride. Basically the concept is that the farther your head is from the track, the more rough the transitions. Since you stand up on GL, the heartline is relativity high, resulting in rough transitions regardless of how new it is. But with sitdown trains, the hearline is lower, resulting in a MUCH smoother ride.It would also eliminate the ridiculous amount of head-boxing GL has for the most part, as the forces are focused at a lower point. For example, put your elbow on the ground and move it side to side just a little. Even though your elbow moves just slightly, your hand will move much farther. The lower you are, the smoother the transition.
  11. ^I agree. It doesn't make sense not to buy a season pass just because of the ride--just don't go on LD. Im not really mad about the ride, though I do think they should have gotten something with a higher capacity. What Im mad about is them marketing it as a new coaster- and Im willing to bet that even after getting flamed for doing this everywhere on the internet, they will still call it a coaster. I can see them getting an X-Flight clone with different theming in 2016. I read somewhere that their 5-year plan is for 2015 to be a relatively off year, while 2016 will be the new coaster-again, just speculation. I don't think they will get an RMC, with El Toro in the same park. They market El Toro as the world's best wooden coaster for a reason. I think though unlikely, it is possible that they could get a giga. It's not necessary, but they could certainly market SFGA as one of the two parks with a coaster in every height category. Along with a hotel/resort, SFGA would be Six Flag's Cedar Point and perhaps even overtake SFMM, as the latter is just about amount of rides, rather than quality for the most part. I heard a rumor that the Six Flags scheduled to open in Dubai will debut with a B&M giga. If this holds true, (which is very likely as $30 million is pocket change in Dubai XD ) I expect to see Six Flags install more of them, probably first at Magic Mountain. Next they would likely build one at Great Adventure, and because they already have a spectacular B&M in Nitro, could be an Intamin (which im PRAYING for), either MF style, or I-305 style. Again, these are just my guesses, and I could turn out completely wrong. Also, sorry for such a ridiculously long post!
  12. It would be ridiculous to make it a floorless. Also, B&M sitdown coasters have all but died out, which is unfortunate. They are awesome and would make Green Lantern a lot better and more comfortable.
  13. Hi! Im Zak, and I love Great Adventure and rides in general. I go all the time, and love talking about it. I joined because I read the speculation topic all the time and decided to join to share my opinion. I especially love Kingda Ka, El Toro, and all Intamins in general. The way they push the envelope is just so inspiring. I hope to work for them one day, but it's just a dream. I look forward to posting!
