  1. ^Ouch! Imagine Kingda Ka with an ice crystal formed on the track. At 128 mph that would be PAINFUL. And with Nitro's lift motor, which always has been trouble, if it were iced it wouldn't work.
  2. ^They probably just added it because they spent way too much money on Zumanjaro
  3. Running both rides at once wouldn't do much for Zumanjaro actually. By the time Zumanjaro completes one "circuit", Kingda Ka has already launched 2 trains, like it was when they couldn't run independently. It would have a HUGE effect on Kingda Ka though, and should bring the amount of launches-per-hour back to the 50's rather than the 30's, and lines will move MUCH faster
  4. ^Yes. Yes. And Yes. Also, the higher the track, the more it costs as well. Would be amazing though. SFGA is one of the few parks with tons of space but not the money or management to handle another BIG coaster
  5. Oh, my bad there. But anyway, the reason giga coasters don't have camelbacks is because with all that speed, the camelbacks would take up a lot of space and add a lot of track length, even with a mega lite layout. I know what you mean, believe me, Iv'e watched POV's of all of the mega lites, but that speed is too much to work with to make an Airtime Machine giga. I do think it would probably be the best thing ever and I really do wish they would build one.
  6. Be careful what you wish for (the airtime on a giga), otherwise you end up with something with REALLY long track length, like this:
  7. I have to agree with you there. The lighting in the Golden Kingdom is virtually nonexistent. Seriously I had to look for my group for like 30 mins in the dark after riding KK EDIT: Whether KK's tophat should be lit up is very debatable. Reasons not to be lit: A. It adds fear and adrenaline to the riders, not seeing where they're going. B. It gives it a one up on TTD which has no such experience. C. TTD's spotlights attract thousands of bugs from what Ive heard. Terrifying. Reasons to be lit: A. I actually think Kingda Ka's colors and them are great and should be visible. B. Kingda Ka would look freaking beautiful lit up with the proper colors and would dominate the skyline. C. Some people are too afraid to ride at night due to the tophat being pretty much invisible. That's all I can think of right now, feel free to add anything I missed.
  8. Actually, if they started the entire station on Kingda Ka I would honestly be happy. That would drastically cut lines, with Zumanjaro and all.
  9. And Kingda Ka, while making it a must visit park cost them a lot of money after it was built. It seems they have just recently learned how to run that monster. Also, they never even run both sides of the station and not even the unloading side of the right station. If they did, with Zumanjaro eating up time the lines would move much faster I asked an employee and they said KK was designed to typically get 60 launches an hour before Zumanjaro was built, but it usually got 50-55. Now with Zumanjaro they only get around 35. It seriously puts a damper on lines EDIT: ^Wasn't Nitro (also a custom B&M) a huge reason Six Flags got into all that financial trouble?
  10. ^Yeah, but it's a clone! I wish they had just been a little imaginative and built a custom layout like nitro. If it had better pacing and elements, I would be all for keeping it. Also, in B&M terms, this ride is ridiculously unreliable. In normal terms its just unreliable, but not for a B&M
  11. ^True. In order for the human body to realize how fast it's going, it must see or feel something going past it (Like wind, supports, ect.) otherwise it will have no idea how fast it's going. Flying through the forest would be awesome, imagine the sense of speed on that!
  12. ^Yeah that would be wierd. I would die of laughter is Dorney got Skyrider and they advertised it as "new". Literally
  13. lol. I bet you mean NEW and not "New" like GL and Bizarro. 9 years is a pretty long coaster drought if you ask me
  14. Intaride style giga is all I've wanted for the last like 4 years XD A blitz would be great though, especially a maverick style, or even a hydraulic launched blitz An RMC would be nice, but ultimately it would take away from El Toro. They should build a nice, family friendly GCI They can go ahead and build a wingrider, but it had better have better pacing than Gate Keeper. Seriously, most of the inversions have negative sin waves, meaning the amount of g-force on lets say a zero g roll is less than zero. That's why so many people get sick on it. A fast paced wingrider with size of GK would be awesome!
  15. ^Replacing Superman: Ultimate Wait with wingrider is actually a great idea. First of all, even though the lines are always long, it's only because it's at the front of the park. It's not even that forceful at all. I could engage in a perfectly normal conversation throughout the entire ride, except maybe the pretzel loop, as it is the only exiting part of the whole ride. Plus, a wingrider at the front of the park would give the guests something new and beautiful to look at, and since it's so close to the entrance, they could even go GateKeeper style and incorporate it into the entrance. That's just one way to get 2 things done with one ride: A people bringer, and a beautiful entrance. I completely agree with you about green lantern. Since Im rather tall, my heartline is higher than average and as a result I get head-boxed enough to think Im fighting Muhammad Ali Sitdown trains or floorless would be much better and more comfortable, and IMAGINE the first drop in one of those. But they already have a floorless so... Bizarro backwards is a great idea, it would be more unique to us than all of the other parks with batman, plus the effects would be a nice touch. Problem is, I don't think they have a backwards chassis for it. As for batman, If all they did was turn on the A.C in there I would be happy RMC coaster would have to be low to the ground and/or with overbanks to differentiate itself from El Toro Intamin Blitz would be amazing, and the first of it's kind on the east coast! That's marketable right? Intamin giga would be freakin' amazing. Nuff said.
  16. ^Yes, it is very possible. They will almost certainly repaint it too and maybe this is the ride Cedar Point will name after LeBron (I would hope not)
  17. what I want In order: 1. Intamin giga (I-305 or Skyrush style preffered, but MF or Bizarro style is OK) 2. Intamin Blitz 4. Launched wingrider 3. GateKeeper Style wingrider 4. RMC Custom Creation 5. New trains for green lantern 6. Repaint nitro What I think will come (in no particular order, IF they get a coaster): 1. X-Flight clone with different theming 2. RMC Custom creation 3. Premier launched coaster of some kind 4. 4D Free-Spin coaster (similar to Batman:The ride @ SFFT) 5. Moderately intense wooden coaster less crazy than El Toro
  18. According to this teaser revealed by Cedar Point, something will happen to Mantis for 2015. And judging by the OBVIOUS hints in the video, it looks like Mantis will get floorless or sitdown trains! For example look at 0:29 in the video. The grim reaper says, "Ever wonder why your'e not supposed to stand up on Mantis?" Also, it says in the video that goodbyes are never easy, but in this case it is. Either way, great marketing by Cedar Point! If that happens, do you think Green Lantern should get a similar treatment with sitdown trains? If so that would be amazing! Although they would have to find some way to make it look like they're not copying Cedar Point
  19. ^Intamin track just looks too beutiful
  20. Hershey. Skyrush. Nuff' said. Seriously though, they have some great rides, and a lot of them are Intamins, which equals intensity. It also seems less run-down somewhat then GA. However, GA has the advantage in ride size. I mean, Hershey only just broke the 200 foot barrier...
