  1. ^Maybe because you didn't go on a weekend I went on a friday back in august and it was PACKED. Bizarro itself had a 1 hour line, KK had a 2 and a half hour line, Nitro had a 1 and a half hour line, Superman had a 2 hour line, GL had a 1 and a half hour line, Batman had a 1 hour line, and El Toro had a 2 hour line. It was ridiculous. Next time I go will be a monday
  2. You know, attendance at SFGA has never really risen that much in the last few years, and it just seems to stay the same to a extent, so maybe that's why it seems that we are missing out a bit.
  3. ^Yes. GASM had some problems too when it first opened, and even recently before it was demolished it was breaking down whenever I went
  4. I seriously have no clue what will be coming for 2016. All I know is that Six Flags will either really impress us, or really disappoint us.
  5. I just realized that this thread already has more than half the amount of pages as last year's thread and it's only September. Is it just me or is it too early to speculate?
  6. ^Both are right KK usually has one train sitting on the transfer track (usually the deep blue train) and have the other 3 running so they can go through with the system they use for KK and Zumanjaro Also, its true that El Toro can only run 2 trains.Even though the cable lift counts as a block (which means it has 3 blocks), one block must be free at all times. Also they make up for the low number of trains by having rather long trains. The only reason Nitro has such large capacity is because it doesn't have seatbelts, which actually reduces time by a lot, and it has 3 trains. The only other ride that could possibly not need seat belts is a B&M giga which is impossible so forget about having another capacity MONSTER like Nitro
  7. ^Yeah, they should use the unloading platform. Last time I went I was waiting there for a while waiting to get off
  8. Yes, and maintenance and upkeep is another reason people say TTD is better than KK. CP actually knows how to maintain their strata coaster, and they actually use their loading system. KK is always more bumpy, and they don't even use their double station. I asked a ride operator on Kingda Ka the other day why and he said that was a good question. Probably because it would require more staff, but still, If you build the world's tallest ride, you should at least try to increase capacity, because the lines will always be long.
  9. I agree that a wingrider is too similar. Also I agree that we cant have another B&M airtime machine because of Nitro. An I-305 style coaster would be a dream come true... one can only dream . Redoing Nitro would be nice, but it wasn't that bumpy last time I went on it. The only part that NEEDS a redo is the pre-lift section right out of the station.
  10. ^Nah a giga would be amazing for the park but Six Flags has openly stated that they won't spend that much on one ride anymore. Maybe a few changes in the upper management might change this, but I would be absolutely be stunned and shocked if we got one. Then again, the people who though KD was getting a giga for 2011 were called crazy, but they were right! GCI is currently busy with smaller coasters in china, but one would fit perfectly as Rolling Thunder's replacement, as the park no longer has an intermediate coaster. RMC is more likely than a wingrider as Six Flags' last wingrider was X-Flight 2 years ago and their last hybrids were just announced. But there is a minute chance they might surprise us!
  11. Maybe stuff like this seemingly happens at Six Flags because their parks are geared especially toward teens. And yes, there was a buyout on friday. I went for short lines and it worked!
  12. Im not saying it is related, but we have never been neglected. We will most certainly see a coaster in 1-3 years
  13. I rode Zumanjaro yesterday for the first time and it was awesome! But they are still not running it at the same time as Kingda Ka. That would be terrifying as the gondola kinda sways in the wind when going up the tower, and when Kingda Ka goes up the tophat the entire station for Zumanjaro shakes!
  14. I went down to the park yesterday, and I was in line for superman. It was rather empty so most of the queue was closed with the removable chain. I was waiting in line when around 50 teens decided to remove the chain and cut everyone in line. Then they tried to bring their friends over too, but the group of girls behind me didn't let that happen. Then they proceeded to say that they were there the whole time and they began to blame the people up front for the long wait. It seems like stuff like this would only happen with people from NYC and Philly :\
  15. They spent 50 million dollars in 2 years back in 05-06. While that will never happen again, its clear that we are far from neglected.
  16. Cedar Fair cant buy anymore parks for now after swallowing the paramount parks haha. They are still recovering from that. But yeah, if Cedar Fair bought us we would undoubtedly get a giga eventually seeing as they are trying to put one in as many parks as possible
  17. Wingriders are relatively forceless because they are still a prototype if you think about it. As time goes on and more are built we will see more variations of them and more forceful rides. But I'd rather have an RMC than a wingrider IMO.
  18. ^That title belongs to Thunderbird! They would have to significantly modify the track transitions and perhaps the trains too though
  19. I think it was previously stated, but something big like a giga will likely never happen unless; A. Major management changes. B. Expanding the yearly budget for all the parks. C. Spending a whole lot of money on Gadv and giving the other parks smaller addition (least likely) Gadv's lineup is already better than most in the area, but we should get a coaster within the next 1-3 years. But for now, the coaster drought will continue
  20. Hershey is the only one of these parks that come close in terms of lineup.
  21. I'd rather see it as a sitdown. If they decide to do something similar, let's hope their marketing is good enough to pull it off.
