  1. ^^Agreed. It is by far NJ's largest attraction. But I have heard that attendance was lacking this year though.
  2. ^Very likely, depending on how well it does. If it is popular, and draws crowds we might get one similar. If it isn't, it is possible, but not likely. They couldn't name it Batman: The Ride though, as we already have one with that name.
  3. I'd love a lengthy,ground-hugging terrain RMC that really gives you a sense of speed. Also, coasters that are low to the ground and don't have much airtime make up for that in intensity, pacing, and lots of positive g's (Think I-305)
  4. Yes, they are good but they are a lot more affordable thatn an Intamin or B&M. ^Also, you forgot about future TC! And tatsu, and X2, and maybe superman, if you're into launches. But yeah, our lineup is better. In fact, I think we have the best lineup of any Six Flags park, and only SFGAM rivals us closley ^^And yes, because Gadv is situated between 2 cities, it could be as big as SFMM. But Magic Mountain has clearly become the flagship. I they invested that much in us. If only...
  5. I heard somewhere that SF's budget is around 80-90 million per year, and there are 18 themeparks they own. Let's assume that Six Flags spends equally on all of their parks, which they do not, and do the math; It amounts to about maximum 5 million each, which is impossible. That proves SF spends a lot more on some themeparks than others, especially SFMM because they have to compete against Knotts and Disney and differentiate themselves from them. I seriously doubt they will shell out 20-30 million on one park, which is about 25-33% of their budget. And they said they wouldn't even do it after Tatsu, because it wasn't a return investment. Sorry guys, but we won't be seeing a B&M or Intamin at a Six Flags park anytime soon I mean, they used to spend left and right, but that almost got them bankrupt (they spent an estimated 50 million on Gadv alone in 2005-2006). Now they are a very careful company, and looks into what they spend vs what they earn. That's why we havent seen a major custom coaster here in NJ for a while.
  6. ^Skyrush is not a mega lite. It is a pure mega-coaster. A mega-lite is a whole 112 feet shorter. Yes, I agree that it's impossible to get a B&M or Intamin. We weren't speculating there. We were just discussing what we wanted to see. We could likely see an RMC or a premier launch, or another flat ride (s) or maybe nothing at all
  7. ^Would be cool but the heartline difference in the two types of trains are too drastically different for it to be possible. I believe the heartline of a standup is about 1.5 meters, and for a wingrider, 0.5 meters. The ride would be VERY different. It might be possible, but it would be rather complex
  8. ^lel. What if we got a mega-lite? I heard those things are PACKED with airtime and don't cost that much. It would also be the first of its kind in The U.S.
  9. ^I agree complete. We have enough B&M's for now. Time to diversify the lineup once again. (In my opinion, by manufacture)
  10. yeah that's the part that needs a paint job the most because it's pretty much the only part of the ride people can see. I think shambhala is a bit short for a B&M hyper and doesn't have as much floater as some of the others. My personal top 9 is as follows: 1.Nitro 2.Behemoth 3.Intimidator 4.Diamondback 5.Shambhala 6.Goliath (SFOG) 7.Silver Star 8.Apollo's Chariot 9.Raging Bull Basically I prefer the longer B&M hypers with more floater than positive g's.
  11. Im ok with the sign rusting actually. It kinda gives the station that industrial feel
  12. Or name it Glycerine for 1 season! Brownie points to whoever gets the reference
  13. ^Yup. I heard that all the time, and Im sure people will think the same about Rougarou. EDIT: 100th post in 21 days!
  14. ^Skyrush is a bit short. I agree. But all Hershey rides are short I think they should keep the same colors on Nitro, only replace the magenta with red. Also, is this what you meant Andrew? I fired up No Limits to see what you meant, and it looks pretty nice actually. Here:
  15. Is Nitro the best B&M hyper in the world? Yes, in my opinion. But is it the best hyper coaster in the world? In my opinion, close but not at the top. Bizarro and Skyrush were better, no question IMO. Nitro comes in third on my list. But again, this is just my opinion. And also, Nitro needs a paint job NOW. It is not nearly as smooth as it once was. The colors on the pre-lift turn are almost completley faded away and rust has long formed there. And the Nitro logo on the station is literally BLEEDING rust. SF has NOT done a good job of maintaining it. Nitro does have some history to it though, if any. It was the first B&M hyper (and maybe even the first B&M coaster if i'm correct) to not have a pre-drop, and the first B&M to have magnetic brakes.
  16. ^^Yeah I know that. But Im not sure if repainting it made it a bit smoother because I never rode it when it was Chang. I like to call relocated rides "new" with the quotation marks instead of used . But then again, I rode GL within the opening month, and it was already a bit rattly. ^It's not just six flags who does that, but Six Flags really emphasizes that it's a new ride lol. And they do a pretty good job at it, because for the most part, the GP doesn't know it was a relocation.
  17. ^Wouldn't work. B&M track is a lot wider than Intamin track. Also, Nitro has 3 trains with 32 people per train ( I think it has 8 rows) But I like the idea of a 4 seater blitz. Maybe Intamin could make a winged blitz! (without the thigh-crushing restraints) It would not only be a unique experience, but it would increase ride capacity and reduce lines as well.
  18. Ehh.. Would be cool but I don't think management would do that. The GP would see it as redundant, even though it's 2 different experiences.
  19. Forgot about its unreliability. Even though the double loading stations increase capacity, I think Six Flags would use it for like the first year or so, then load only one train. They always buy things to increase capacity but never use them (cough...Kingda Ka ...cough)
  20. The roughness on the head depends on how tall you are. Shorter people will have a smoother ride. But put in tall people like me, and you get a headache on that ride. I literally have to put my hands on the side of my head so it doesn't hurt as much. The corkscrews are brutal to me. But my brother, who is shorter than I, says it's not so rough on the head, but he still says his ankles hurt. It's not a sharp pain, but a pressurized pain on the ankles due to the g-forces put on them. I think they should leave bizarro as-is and make GL a sit-down.
  21. I also say it's a bit early for them to change GL. Maybe in a couple of years they'll consider it, but it's still a "new" ride for many. I'd love a change to sit-down trains, and It would be nice to see them walk away from the superhero theming. And yes, shockwave at KD is a nightmare. The transitions are brutal to begin with, and it being a standup makes it 10x worse. At least GL has nice, silky smooth B&M transitions, and it's only the trains that make it rough
  22. Couln't agree more. Lol we are like the B&M capital of the world
  23. lol. That coaster was old though. Bizarro is still relatively ok. It rattles a little, but it's still a good coaster. RT was way past its time though. Not saying it should have been removed, but it makes more sense than Bizarro
  24. ^Couldn't agree more- But Maverick doesn't use a chain lift It uses LSMs for both launches. A blitz would be awesome and I like the idea of weaving through nitro. It could even dive into the nearby trees/forest. Would be cool
